you still got hit but the chuck just made it look that way
just look at glacius he got stunned

Can't you also "dodge" it by just running really fast? Eventually it will hit you, but you can at least make sure it hits you in a safe place.

Chuck doesn't give a stun animation, so you were stunned by cask. How would this be useful or interesting even if you did "dodge" it.
By the way: if he had disjointed it (blink, valk leap, whatever), it would still bounce to allies. The spell is just built that way.
