update website with latest information

It would be nice if the website content was driven by the actual game file content. I.e. all the new items patched in for 1.44 would update the website with at least the in-game icon versions.

I can see that all the descriptions were rewritten especially for the website... but really I wish s2 would reconsider, because it looks like the website will become continually outdated, and hence useless.

I guess if its too late to change the approach to creating/maintaining the site, you should implement a better process that when hero/item icons or code is checked in/changed, they are required to check in the related website files.

Let me just go out on a limb here and suggest that you script the website to read the resource files and hook it into the updater.

That way the homepage is always updated to the latest patch as all the information is in there anyway.
