With Patch 0.1.43, Elementals will only split one time, instead of up to 4, time permitting. What are people thoughts on how this effects his viability as a jungler?
I picked him in an SD last night and went to jungle and found it to be so much more difficult that I ended up having to lane instead. Because they don't split as much, they die a lot more quickly and they don't do nearly as much damage. The patch essentially halves their life and reduces their damage 50-100% over the course of the spell.
I was going along this guide pretty closely: http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=17068
Elementals and glacial blast, lots of mana pots. It didn't work at all... I spawn elementals off of the biggest creep in a medium camp, kill them, and then move to the next closest camp. With the nerf, I could rarely manage to kill the second camp before they timed out. The nerf made it take a lot longer to kill the first camp, leaving not enough time or damage to kill the second one.
Is he still viable with a different jungling strategy, the same strategy and I just fail, or not at all?
