I'm seriously asking me why you both, Honcast and Gamereplays, are using justin.tv for your streams. First of all the quality is shitty, and for some reason you still got no working delay software for this crap hoster.

Instead of you could just use own3d.tv, the quality is like 298347298347 times better like u can see on the streams wich are hosting by alots of Heroes of Newerth Players already, your justin crap stream is just looking like an undone puzzle when you compare both. Also the delay shouldnt be a big Problem anymore and own3d.tv is running much more smoothly.

So please stop sticking with this justin.tv crap switch to own3d to bring this game forward instead of idling at one, big bad, point.

kk thx bye

I don't agree with he way this matter is presented but when it comes to justin.tv being alot worse than multiple other streaming sites I have to agree, it's simple not a good host.

I'd wish you guys, especially at Gamereplays (since, lets face it Honcast is becoming rather insignificant with "Funcasts" 24/7) would try out different streaming sites, such as the one suggested in the thread here.

We're experimenting with other livestreaming methods atm, I think it's owned but not sure. We'll see how it goes.

So many people complained about our coverage of the gosugamers finals when we streamed it on own3d.tv, of course, we did have a record setting 21,000+ concurent viewers for it.

We have delay on both justin.tv and our fileplay partner.

Both have the ability to change bandwidth viewing for slower connections which is key.

Thanks for input/suggestions

:tund: i seems to remember otherwise, at least in honcast IRC channel ppls only complained about they couldn't get used to with this super smooth lag-free live streaming.

Can we expect much more livecasts in the future with your delay software?
Or will you guys stick with the Replaycasts as it is since some weeks? :(

owned is bad though. Do you recall the thread saying "add owned to thrash hosting sites?"

All you guys see is the viewer side. Owned is buggy in so many ways. You somtimes you cant view ur own live stream , bad status updates of when u are actually live. THE WEBSITE ITSELF IS IN BETA ALSO THE PROGRAM FOR IT IS BETA AS WELL . Along with a handful of other bugs .

I wont lie though xsplit is a good piece of software and owned does has its perks however. Its way too early to put faith in that site. I lost 2 hours to its bs.

Yep... Owned sucks. Euro's love it, not shockingly though, since it's located there, Austria I think.

JTV still better, only people *****ing about it are again Euros.

GR can have fun with owned if that's where they want to go, and can enjoy that crowd.

Would be nice if someone would start covering ESL, UNGL and NCL. Lots of great matches played in those - 0 VODs.

Sadly both sites don't seem to upload many VoDs...

Honcast "generally" you get 1/2 M-Th...

GR not sure when they update or if they have a schedule, but they appear sporadically and you always know the outcome if it's a Bo3, because they never list #3 and after G1 you know who won G2...

honcast should pick up that joshp guy to stream on their site during downtime and maybe for competitive insight

own3d's livestream is amazing for me personally. During the gosugamers event with like 22k people watching I didn't have a single lag-moment whereas on the one honcast normally uses (justin?) I can't watch for 5 seconds without it cutting off or needing to buffer.

Yeah, justin.tv bites but it is the most popular so all streamers use it.

That was actually my thread about own3ed. I was referring to, as it stated in the title, how poor it was to watch vods there.

I've yet to experience their actual capacity to stream live, let's not confuse those two things.

It would seem, if own3d is good for streaming live, that uploading the recorded video's to youtube for example would be the ideal scenario.

own3d.tv seemed to handle the 20k people viewing SK vs MSI just fine. There will always be people complaining about something, thats just the way it is.

/agree with Phil

Get in touch with us Josh. We'd love to have you on.

Justin.tv is popular for a reason. It works and it's good. We finally have our delay working and you're going to be seeing a lot more content coming up soon, as we mentioned.

Really, that's the reason for all the "funcasts." Aside from GR's awesome tournaments, there hasn't been much going on. :(

As I already said - not true.

ESL, UNGL (even if it's a mini-cup without prizes) and NCL are all tournaments that should be covered but are not for an unknown reason.

not only those tournaments but there are many tmm games/scrims of named players worth to be casted, all you need on hct is someone to check out replays frequently and rate them.

instead you have trashy funcasts with retarded game modes. is there actually anyone who likes these casts?

Easy solution... Wait til HC does a replay cast.

Because owned is literally crap...

There were many thousands of viewers watching the Gosu WC finals and just a few viewers complained about not being able to watch. Atm Own3d looks to be a much better service than Justin.

Owned has one thing going for it: All servers are good -> very few people have a problem with spikes.

But it has a few problems: No quality options and no popout. JTV has server side quality options (realllllly good from streamer PoV) and popout, which is cool.

The quality of the stream depends on the streamer more than the streaming website.

If JTV fixed them damn bad nodes, it would be more or less perfect, now it requires some watchers to spam refresh a while to get a good node.
