View Full Version : EXP / Minute, pointless?

I find the listing of EXP per minute fairly pointless. You cannot truly compare EXP/Minute with another player because of -EM and Non -EM games. If you always play -EM, your EXP/Minute will be phenomenally higher than a player who does not.
I propose somehow showing some sort of difference between EXP of -EM and non EM games.
EX: Exp/Minute 470 (EM) 390 (NonEM)

Suggested countless times, looking at someone stats will NEVER be able to tell you how good the player is...

It would still be cool to have an idea. I like comparing amongst my friends.
i dont see how its completely useless as i can instantly label someone with under 350 xp/min as god awful.

This, especially not rating.

That's true, but I was commenting on how if a friend plays -EM, and you play -RD or something, there's no way to appropriately compare EXP/Minute. It wouldn't be much of an effort to just Show like
Exp/Minute 470 (EM) 390 (NonEM)

It's use is to tell you if someone plays em or not :p
If they have an average kdr and a high (above 460ish?) xp/minute then you can tell they play em.
However, I think they should have more in-depth stats.. Like how many games of what modes they play, what heros they played in a specific game, stuff like that.
DGNPrime had a very prominent stat tracking program used for DotA until they stuffed up the hero names, and warcraft 3 patched out all 3rd party progs. I used this years ago when I was a nub :D

Yeah, I can tell if they play -EM, but what's the point of listing the statistic if you can't appropriately compare them to anyone?
That's basically what I'm going for, more defined stats. This would be a small step towards that. (I really want a "Top 3 most played champions.") ;)

Total exp earned is even more useless. Exp/min is a guide to em or non em, although the stats should be separated.
