Hello S2,
This is not a me raging at you thread, but I am quite fed up with the mini-DC problem that me and hundreds of other players are experiencing right now. It has literally rendered the game unplayable.
The Issue:
Baiscally, in 9 out of 10 games, the little DC icon appears under the portraits on the left, a well documented issue in the community. My player turns around and makes a beeline for the fountain, and ignores any command I give. It happens sporadically throughout the game. I assume you can see how this would be unplayable. If you want to see what I am talking about, simply watch any of my replays in the past week or so. You will see my character running back to the fountain over and over again, with me not being able to stop them. This problem has been going on since 2.0.6...
Nothing has changed on my system since I started playing over a year ago in open beta. Every other game/application still runs great on my computer, which leads me to believe it has something to do with the HoN client. Could something have changed with my ISP (Comcast, in CT)? Possibly, but highly doubtful. I called them and they said that there has been no change in my area.
Now before you start spitting the same thing, "It's a problem on your end", please understand that I have attempted all of the fixes I am aware of (yes, including resetting my router/modem lol). I am an IT professional and know my way around a computer quite well, so please do not patronize me and waste my time.
There is no possible way (well I suppose there is, but doubtful) that hundreds of players all modified their systems, or had their ISP change something all AT THE SAME TIME (around the 2.0.6 patch) I simply want S2 to acknowledge that there is a problem in the client or on their end, stop hiding from the problem and say that they are working on it. Until then, my friends and I are going to stop playing this game...
Thanks for any help you might be able to provide, and please let me know if you need anything from me to help diagnose this problem. I am more then happy to help...
