Omg just tried swiftblade...my old favorite I was starting to get bored with b/c of the long ult cooldown. Seemed like before I would enter teambattles...ult and gtfo until i had more items to increase my dps. Now after my starting items and soulscream ring im going straight for staff of the master. After I go for steam boots and im an ult-tastic guy.

What new uses have you guys found for SoTM?

yeah It's runed axe. i always start with marchers for early ganks and then go for sustainer and RA. staff of the master does give swifts ulti a nice little boost. at level 16 10 slashes with a 90 second cooldown?? GG at the very least if you catch someone alone its an automatic1,500 Damage at level 16 most likely more. good upgrade imo

ya steam boots adds another slash to that as well though. So you guys don't go shield breaker w/him?

What are some other heroes who benefit a lot from staff of master now? All of them?

That's exactly what I've been doing and I do so much better w/him now post-update. So much more fun to play as well his ult endgame is INSANE! I usually try to hit a few of them up one time to get the shield breaker effect in than ult. IDK why but I've been building him where i get one of the damage components of shield breaker and I usually catch up w/the game in the dps department and than go for just the basic boots to increase speed. I than finish shield breaker, finish steam boots, go for staff of the master, and than finish off w/runed ax. By the time im getting runed ax I'm doing really good so it's just a deal sealer.

I think getting runed axe early is better, tbh. Let's you farm all the other stuff way quicker.

u dnt have to hit them to get the shield breaker effect 1st. U have concealed normal attacks during ur ulti, so its fine to unleash it :)

I know people love the runed axe for farm ability but I usually have at least one part if not all of shield breaker put together before I make my first trip to base from lane. Besides I use the spin to farm creep waves most of the time unless I'm a little to far into there side in wich case I save it for emergancy magic evasion.

I can no long see why anyone would go for enhanced marchers over steamboots as they make your ulti do more damage wich results in you getting more kills > you getting more gold as a result > your team winning more battles > gg.

Damn, this debate is riveting.

Enhanced Marchers vs. Steamboots is situational, obviously. Some team set ups, you won't need the move speed, some, you won't need the attack speed as much as the move speed.
