if people votekick you for unjust reasons report them and get 4 people banned/suspended at the same time, they'd probably also remove your disc as well. plus nobody can votekick you if you're the single only one who downvotes a concede anymore. concede is a 4/5 vote after 30 minutes. personally i think that's a bit early maybe 40 minutes would be better but it's still nice.

Why the hell did S2 reactivate votekick ? That is one of the dumbest things S2 ever did !
On the one hand S2 wants players not to give up too early and play on. To prevent players from this they invented "griefing report" and in general abusive behaviour.
On the other hand it is possible to kick players who think they still can win, so the rest of the team can concede.

But the question is...if carry doesn't wanna concede, will they kick him? Since 2.0, and every subsequent patch, I've been having trouble loading HoN on linux after every new update. The S2 logo won't show upon opening, and leaves a blank screen until I close it. The solution, insofar, is to reinstall HoN with the new update. However, I have to wait until the download off the site contains the latest update for linux.
Right now, I'm playing the waiting game...

Great patch, I'm a fan of the 4/5 concede past 30 minutes, although perhaps 35 or 40 minutes might be more on the mark. Gives the carry more of a chance to turn the game around.

Not totally sure about vote kick making a come back, can still vividly remember it being abused beyond all belief far more than it was actually used to kick somebody who was griefing.

While the patch is great, I can't help but feel a little let down. The last two patches haven't actually had very much -content- in them at all, rather than minor tweaks to the game which require little to no work on S2's behalf. It begs the question, what've they actually been working on?

I'm sure they've got something in the words, but I'm fairly sure the majority of the community will be upset if we aren't given atleast a teaser or two about what is to come, rather then "We've got big plans, working on some great new stuff" etc.

Great, now my win % drops by 30% when you allow all the newbs concede the games I'd know to win end-game. (Out of ~50 games played, 5 wins come from 4/5 concedes after 30 mins, whereas the amount of losses after 30 mins is close to 0 when I have refused to concede.)

This is honestly the best patch they've released. Now all they have to do is remove chalice and I think ill JIZZ MY PANTS.

IN all honesty if the kick function gets abused then just put RAP on that. Instead of one person getting banned 4 people get banned and the message spreads quicker. ALSO this gives the power back to the player and not the griever. I CANNOT wait to kick people who refuse to leave a game, and sit in the jungle "farming" while we defend towers/rax.

The only issue I see with this patch is that if the game is over at 15 min(22-2 hero kills) and some kid doesnt want to concede(this happens to me A LOT), i wouldn't think twice about kicking him, and im sure the rest of my team would feel the same.

So since s2 added votekick they probably should make the concede function 4/5 at the 15min mark as well.

Its kind of funny I was expecting one or the other, but getting both of those done is a step in the right direction.

If 4 ppl want to concede they just kick the 5th. And since the enemy team wants to finish the game they vote yes of course.

HoN is really getting worse and worse with every single patch.

And what is that 4/5 Concede for?
1. There are a lot of games where a game is still winable when the whole team would play on and stop crying about conceding. Already happened often enough that a team wins a game after the last guy who doesnt want to concede making advices to play the game on and how to win.
2. If 1 single player still wants to play on why would the rest of the team just destroy this game for him by conceding and making the game end?
Some people just play for fun and not to win or lose or whatever. Witht that change those players have no chance to do so, since a game is finished when 4 people think it is lost or just do not want to play on.
3. From the view of a support hero or a ganger who is dieng quite often in the game the game often looks lost when it actually isn't. So if this is the case for the 4 players they can just end the game by conceding?
This is just totally stupid.

With that change HoN came on my shitlist. A game where you can only have fun for a few minutes. If the 2 sidelanes fail they just concede and the game is finished, no matter how good middle was doing.
That reminds me of arguing for HoN in the past. In DotA you could play for fun only, just join a game and leave at some point, that sucked for the ongoing game, but everyone had fun even playing 4vs3 or something like that. Just for some certain players this was really bad, but they had the chance to play in inhouse leagues with only a few leavers as in HoN. You had a decision there. Right now in HoN you just can play to win a game, not to have fun with mates. And since there are only a few No Stats games you cannot even play properly without stats tracking, especially since almost everyone is playing matchmaking now.

HoN will die sooner or later. Going back to DotA...
