This sounds like the same issue as http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=204738 except that it has been happening for a couple of days now, already before the latest patch.
The game works perfectly, apart from constant disconnection from the chat server (have the disconnection mark on the left all the time). Any in-game chat and notifications appear every 2 minutes or so. As a seeming side-effect, I'm never able to reconnect to games after disconnection (the reconnection dialog will not appear). Due to this I now have at least 4 undeserved leaves after a few unfortunate crashes and disconnects.
