I am getting an error when I start up the game, then the game closes (crash).
The error is: D3D Create: CreateDevice() failed

Things I've tried:
Disabled UAC
Run as Admin
Delete all HoN related files and reinstall
Disabled AVG and tried reinstalling
Reinstall HoN in a different place (C:/HoN)
How long have I had the problem: Just today, although I wasn't able to access HoN on this computer for a month now.
Computer info: Windows Vista, 32bit, AVG anti virus, windows firewall(?)
.nfo zipped up is too large to upload to the forums, if there is another step I need to take, just ask.
Other information: I think I have tried to open HoN once in a previous version, and it launched normally but wasn't able to connect to the internet, this error happened when I moved my computer and had to unplug everything. It may also be worth mentioning that since the move I have lost some resolution options for my computer namely 1680x1050.

Attempts to isolate the problem:
I tried to launch WC3 and it came up with the problem that I do not have DirextX 8.0 or higher.
I checked DxDiag and find that I have directX 10.
I could launch WC3 before I moved back into my home and connected it to the internet.
Running a full computer virus sweep
Virus sweep came up with 3 infection and removed them, problem persists
Unable to run system restore
Theories:
I didn't have any problems until I connected the computer to the Internet, this could be due to a virus, that was waiting for something from the Internet.
