I got dc from chat server while in game, after 5 failed attempts to reconnect, it booted me to logon page. The first time this happened I was able to log back in immediately. The second time produced that error.

I dont think it is.. I only have the option to randomly get a game. And if they set it up the "other" way, where a person clicks on MM and it creates a game with them as the "host" and others get connected to the game based upon mmr, then this REALLY needs be fixed. That's a deal breaker.

That just happened to me as well. :(

It started with messages saying that I was disconnected from the chat server and that it was reconnecting me. When that happened my friend said the system told him I had logged out, but I was still in the game playing. It said it was trying to reconnect to the chat server 5 times, and then on the fifth failure I got disconnected from the game and logged out of the online system with an error message saying something about the system being unable to authorise my account (or my connection?).

I clicked login right after, got back in and reconnected to the game. A minute or so later I got the same chat server problems again. It disconnected me again but that time, I tried reconnecting, I got the message "The host has banned you from this match".

I tried restarting HoN twice and got the same message each time I tried to reconnect.

I tried entering another game so that I'd be removed from the match (to prevent people from feeding with me and so that they could get my items sooner), but it didn't remove me until the five minute disconnect timer went down. The game's still going on now so I dunno if it'll give me a leave as yet and I don't know how to check the game ID.

UPDATE: It went in as a disconnect. The match ID is 32850124 (http://replays.heroesofnewerth.com/match_replay.php?mid=32850124).

Same thing just happened to me tonight for this exact reason. Would it be feasible to implement a system like the old battle.net that stopped a double login from happening instead of disconnecting the original person?

You didn't get that message when you were disconnected from the match the first 2 times. You got that message when you attempted to reconnect the 2nd time.

I was choppy going into the start of the game (at character select) so I picked my hero and reset my router. When the router reset ventrillo and hon let me log back in, and the prompt came up to rejoin the game. I rejoined, got into the game moved a few steps and I believe got dc'ed again. (vent continued to work throughout this).

I reconnected again almost immediately with no problems, and thought it might be one last annoyance, got to lane, played for a few minutes then got dc'ed again and wasn't allowed back into the game because the host had banned me.

I never received any message about duplicate log ins, and apart from when my router was off other programs continued to work. I don't really care about getting 1 leave (the whole point of the 0.5% buffer is for this kind of thing) and I don't care about 1 loss.

I do however want to be told it won't happen again before I try to play again.

Edit: I don't know how to give the files you might need, and I can answer other questions about the game. Although I didn't write all the errors down because usually Hon's been pretty good and let me back in almost instantly on any drop. So I wasn't really paying attention at first.

Hello, just happened to me in 2 Match Making games in a row, I was winning them, got bloodlust in both of them, then of course it starts with disconnected from chat server...

First of all I would like to be cleansed of the 2 leaves, second of all I would like to see this bug fixed ASAP. At this moment I'm afraid to play again so it doesn't happen again, just started a game, we remake and a couple of seconds later, I see in the chat box that I was being disconnected from server and had to relog ...

My ACCOUNT WAS NEVER SHARED by anybody. When can I play again without problems ? Hmm ?

Problems like :

1) Getting BSOD after pressing the Go To Windows button so I can change a song in Winamp (first time it ever happends to me);

2) Getting screen blur like someone hit my LCD with a shovel and the pixels are all over the place, jumping (this one was very persistent, had to restart PC to get over it and it wasn't my video card's fault, temperatures were ok, no heat, nothing and the desktop was normal and yes I always have the latest drivers/updates, also first time it ever happened to me and it was strange as hell because I didn't know what was going on);

3) Getting HoN crash again for switching to Windows, then when I log in, there is no reconnect button no matter how many times I restart the game or PC (this bug happened many times only in combination with the other bug where some games don't count, they are not recorded at least that's what I think because I have no recordings of those games and it was way past remake time).

4) Sometimes everything moves in slow-motion like I have all the lag in the world although my ping is around 70 and the colours of everything in-game start changing to something like 256 bit colour mode and they keep changing until it gets back to normal or I restart the game. I play games like Assassin's Creed 2 maxed out and I don't see problems like this in that game, so again what else can I say if not a HoN related problem.

All of the above problems have happened in the past 2 weeks. The one with screen blur happened yesterday or 2 days ago and the one with being banned by host happened today.

Thank you for your patience and attention, I hope you fix this soon or else I delete the game, I want to have fun not get frustrated and angry because the damn game is sabotaging my fun.

P.S.: I didn't mention anything about the server mini-lag/spikes or other problems like instant cancelation of games as those aren't as severe as those above, that by the looks of it, can damage your computer ... or so I think.

P.S.S.: I reinstalled the game and I have 2 mods : http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=64370 and http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=126454 which should both be implemented in game, because the Warcraft 3 engine didn't support this and was a strategy game it had an use for press "A" to attack and this game doesn't (not being a strategy game and being a stand-alone), so Right Click Deny should definately be included in a future patch as in-game feature and True Skill Rating should also be included because it calculates all the important information which makes a player a player and Match Making is everything you want it to be, but not balanced, as it puts players together sorted by MMR and not by TSR which should make everything for everybody more stable and balanced.

HoN crashed. On trying to reconnect first time I seemed to get in until just as it reached 100% I was dc'd again with the messege "The server could not authorize your account. You must stay logged in to continue playing." When I then tried reconnecting again I got the banned message. Account not shared with anyone.

after initial mass-dc 3 ppl were able to rejoin(through console, no rejoin button visible)

the enemy refused rmk

after 3rd timeout rejoining was impossible(received the "yer banned from this server by the host"-msg and the enemy received a free win, incredible bullshit.

just played a game when I timed out with the message "No response from server". Of course I now log out, log in and try to reconnect, which appearantly works the second try. So the loading bar appears, but at like 60% it completely disappears without any notices. As i thought it crashed or something, I log out and log in again several times and try to reconnect. Suddenly I am in the game again, am able to play while and after about a minute i get kicked due to doubled account usage. So I think the system still got me into the game, even though the bar disappeared and due to my following reconnect attemps the game treated me to be in the game twice with my account. The cause now is that I am banned from the game.

apparently I didnt get a leave even though nomad who got terminated still was there when i got kicked the second time

I keep on getting disconnected from the chat server these past two days (but my internet hasn't been disconnecting), and today I tried playing some 1v1 nostats games with a buddy and after a while it would disconnect me from the game, so I'd try to log out and in and reconnect, and it would always work the first time, but then after the second time it would DC me, it wouldn't let me back in, saying that the Host (which was me) banned me from the match. These matches were:

but then I played another nostats game later and it was fine, so I played a TMM. Again, the first disconnect I was able to reconnect from, but then after the second one, it told me I was kicked by a vote. However that wasn't what happened, because I was playing with a friend on vent and he told me they were paused waiting for me.

This happens nearby 80% of the times me and my friend try yo join MM as team, one of us, loads full but stops there, then a mesagge: "No response from server". Then, sometimes, a "you have been temporaly banned from matchamking" message pops up when we try to join another game. Just happens when we join as team.

It happened to me just playing a regular matchmaking game. Got dc'ed once to login screen, then rc'ed fine. But the 2nd dc it crashed my game and then i got this error. This kind of stuff happens EVERY SINGLE patch and it better be fixed with all leaves taken off that it caused.

Conditions that you must fulfill:

- Another person must not log onto your account. If they do then it will tirgger this bug.

If anyone can provide [S2]Deejay with a Match ID/timestamp of this incident while fulfilling the above conditions, it would help a lot.

Also to be safe, change your password.

This isn't as simple as 'another player must not log into your account'. If a computer has auto login on it even an accidental click of the program will trigger this bug if there is an update. Might want to make a warning if being kicked through an auto login = banned from current match.

Client wouldnt let me rejoin a match after I timed out. "too many login attempts" or something ridiculous. Then it said I exceeded my afk time and can no longer join.

I literally just got out of a game being kicked along with a friend. The server kicked us no one voted to do so. I tried to reconnect but it said the time was up and couldn't do it anymore. Please erase my leave I didn't do nothing wrong and my team is losing now because of my leave, + I now have above 5% leave and can't join anymore matchmaking.

Happened to me a couple of minutes ago, match id : 104104034
i think it was a real bug because i gave an old smurf account to my friend while i was playing on smurf as well. Since the password is the same on both accounts and the usernames only differs in 1 character (tuc3, tuc4) its entirely possible that the algorithm thought we would be using the same account.
