View Full Version : You have been disconnected because another client connected to the game using the same account

I have recently moved to a new apartment that offers wireless internet connection, and I haven't been able to join any games on HoN since then.
I use a USB wireless adapter, and every time I try to join a public game, an error message is returned that reads:

"You have been disconnected because another client connected to the game using the same account." even though I'm absolutely certain that I am not connected to any other machine.

There are also duplicate instances in two of every server on the public games list.

Please help.

Please try reinstalling the game.

I have a recommendation, How about disabling the double connect protection feature just specifically for my account? So I don't get that error message. I can assure you I'm not using different machines to log into the same account. You can perma-ban my account if otherwise, not unless duplicate names show up once in the game room which I'm still uncertain of, but let's give that a try anyway??? I've been waiting for more than a month, and the only way to get into HoN is through an internet cafe 10 miles away from here, so where is everyone?

It seems that every once in awhile I can connect if I just keep trying to join, or create a game repeatedly by closing and reopening the client for some reason that's just unknown to me, but I do notice that it says "disconnect_duplicate_connect" in the console, so why not just remove that restriction for my account, and you'll see that I really am not duplicately logged in to my account

We can't remove it for a single account, sorry.

The issue is usually caused because of network lag, and the best you can do is try and wait it out.

Are you using wireless?
