Hey guys, I was hoping we could start a good thread about the mechanics of in-game currency.

First I'll contribute the simple stuff that anyone can see from the new match stats screen.

Victory/Loss - More coins for victory
First of the day - Get coins for the first game of a day
Quick Victory - Achieved victory in 25min or less
Consecutive - Additional gold and experience for consecutive games
Additional:

Bloodlust - First kill of the game yields you gold
Annihilation - Yields gold
Immortal - Yields gold

I'm not sure what the exact values for these are, or how they are calculated. I'm hoping others can shed some insight on this. Eventually, I'd like to come up with an "ideal game" where the maximum number of coins would be gained.

Right now, it looks like a hypothetical first game the of the day where you got bloodlust, immortal, and won in <25 minutes would be ideal.

Hold your mouse over the "What is going on here?" text to get a tooltip explaining all the various ways you can get coins.

I actually have a question about coin mechanics :P

- What exactly 'breaks' the consecutive streak?
Obviously it's gone after 15 minutes, and after leaving/remaking.

- What about disconnecting from the loading screen when someone doesn't connect? (grey player)

What about logging off/on or even closing/opening HoN?

Do those things stop the streak?

You need to start a new game within 15 minutes from last one. Game start is counted at hero selection screen, so if soneone disconnects during loading the timer doesnt reset. Doesnt matter if you close hon or not, only the 15 minute timer matters. I dont know how it works with remakes, but i guess those arent counted at all, so the 15 minute timer is still there.

There've been several situations where the remake thing was relevant, and I did not get the streak. Not sure if it was because of the remake or because of time expiring though..

It seems like it checks for whether you're in an MM game when the timer ends, rather than checking when you start a game if the timer is still going.
