Game freezes/spikes

I've had a ton of lag lately with HoN 2.0. The game runs fine most times during laning but then sometimes my game just freezes for a second or so and I get the DC icon on the left. This happens a lot when there are a lot of things happening on the screen(ie teamfights) and they occur one after another in such occasions.

I'm running Windows 7 64
Q6600 @ 2.4
8GB DDR2 RAM
GeForce 8800 GTS


I am not real sure if it's graphics lag or network lag..but I haven't had this issue before 2.0.
I've updating graphics drivers, tested with/without mods..reinstalled HoN..still freezing/laggy.

Must have been network lag or something. Haven't had it in the last few games, hope this is for good now.
