keeper of the forest ganker??!?!

Ive been playing a few games recently and i noticed that someone usually

picks keeper of the forest. Barely starting i tried him and i thought he

sucked.. well now im been getting ganked by him more then enough times. so

im wondering whats a good guide to become a good ganker for keeper. seems

like tanking gear with rune axe and some other items that cause damage.

anyone have a link or a guide for this if not is someone going to make one

seems like a good idea to me if you know how to play him well enough!

He can only gank when his ult is up, really, unless they have Electrician or some other mega disabler so he can take his sweet time and beat you down with a +60 damage tree.

As for gear, Tree is flexible, but the best items on him tend to be Refresher (double ult has counters but is still good, and the cd is ridiculous without it), Shiva's (complements ult, low armor, tankiness, and improves mana for refresher after), or Rad (complements ult amazingly, "meh" synergy with Camo that is a double-edged sword or simply ineffectual). His "Nature's Vengance" skill allows him to be a good farmer in any lane that is mild enough for him to get a second of breathing room to approach the creep line for last hits/denies without dying instantly/having to use camo/being forced out of lane/losing a lot of HP.

Tree isn't always a good pick, but he's a bit underrated in HoN. You have to play to his strengths and blame your teammates if you lose (the later is always a good idea).

I found out that Mock of Brilliance is very usefull especially when using his ulti.
Also the Harkon's blade is awesome against people with Helm of the Black Legion since it doesnt absorb magical damage ^^ Hope this becomes usefull i usually manage to gank really quick portal key is a + if you have it. Though against Accursed is almost hopeless.

All you have to do basically is put eyes everywhere around the map and stay with your team when you have your ultimate.

Tree is played for his ultimate and eyes in the forest, nothing else.

Except for his ability to stealth allies, of course. Just filling that in for you cuz it's obvious you woulda added it had you remembered.

If you know your eye placements, you and your allies can farm in peace.
When getting ganked, stealth allied heroes first then stealth yourself (afterall you are tanky)
When ultimate is ready, stealth near the location where the fight is most likely going to happen, and once the teams clash, ulti, and pwn all with your massive tree.
When ultimate is NOT ready, scout the surroundings, place eyes, do reconnaissance, and help your carry farm.
Keeper is a strong counter to jungle heroes such as zephyr and warbeast with his eyes.
He's weak against heroes with powerful spells, since keeper ulti does not silence.
Tempest is a strong counter to keeper, due to meteor that clears trees and constant stun, not to mention tempest's ulti.
Keeper has been nerfed, but he still has his strong points.

Lol. Ew @ getting refresher on keeper. This isn't Rooftrellan guys. Keeper ulti = weak as ****. Totally not worth the lot of money you spend on a refresher. Getting a quick elder parasite is really useful since while holding a tree your attackspeed is gimped bad.

Quick guide to ganking with keeper: If your ult is up, gank.

i usually get refresher.
he isnt that good of a semi-carry.
eye at level 1. map control early game.
eventually eye up their creep spawns so they do not spawn.
try not to make obvious eyes so you can continue controlling their spawns.
try to keep the best map control as you can aka all the ganking spots.
if they cut down a creep eye, put another one up, all that matters is they went to go farm and found out there were no neutrals up.

sometimes i get a blink dagger if i am vs competent people who travel in groups and have a boundless eye.
a good double ult is near impossible to get off vs that without a blink dagger for optimum positioning.

hes a mediocre hero at best

A nice Item build if you want to gank and dish out a lot of damage. remember to always use your Bones on Catapults for the max money gained. Pick up a tree, Stealth, Root, active Elder Parasite, pwn face. Try to lane so you can Eye the enemy's creeping area for max gankige. the goal of this build is to get a lot of attack speed. The faster you can dish out your 8 attacks of free 60 damage the better!

Last hit Last hit last hit!! with this build with Tree+Hatchet you can last hit like a mofo!

I find him really fresh and challenging to play, you're not of big use to the team (besides the eyes) for most of the game until you get refresher, but then it's really game-breaking, easy genocide.

It's even more fun when going the alchemist bones build, the challenge to get as many last hits early to build it fast, then the need to be around a good creep every cooldown, also around a good spot for the eyes as fast as the cooldown is over... And the rush for refresher/mock, all the game is like a race.
