People just like getting blink dagger too much. I guess they feel it's appropriate for initiating the ult, but an assassin's shroud really works better.

I'd prefer assassin's shroud for MQ, if I was going to get any of the 3. Simply because her ulti isn't channel so u can use ulti then shroud then chase em around undetected lol.

BKB works in all level of play, and provides a nice HP boost.
Seems pretty pointless getting a Blink when you could be putting that 2.15k into getting some DPS items. Far too few people seem to use MQ as a DPS rather than just a one-button-hero.

Shroud works for her pretty well.
Ult + Invisibility is great, plus it also gives a minor DPS boost.

True, really the only survivability item you need for MQ is a satanic after you have your butterfly ;) MQ is a carry, and your ulti can only scale so far.
... I don't get any of that. The Luna/MQ build that I know is Treads, (Sub out 2 bracers), Whispering Helm, Wingbow, Flayer, complete Symbol of Rage... then w/e support item you might want. Assassin's shroud would be good but probably not blink.

HotD => BKB => Bfly gives you a pretty good balance. HotD gives pretty decent early damage plus lifesteal works with glaive bounces (always a plus). BKB gives you the health you need plus by the time you're 11 and moreso at 16, BKB + Ult is one of your strongest teamfight weapons. Plus endgame you can always use a BKB. BFly obviously gives insane damage potential. After that its pretty much just luxury.. more damage, satanic, in HoN you can stack a few orbs onto glaives ^^.

goodluck getting that much money outside of EM.
If Savage Mace can still proc on every bounce I don't know why you'd get anything else.

Pre nerf blink dagger was used a lot on Luna, great escape and iniate with ulti.
However I believe that if u play against many weak heroes and get good farm in the beginning you can still get some use of an early blink dagger.
Obviously the primary use of blink dagger is to blink to a good position for ulti (behind enemy hero so you don't hit creeps with ulti).
However if you're not up against many weak heroes and get an exceptionally good farm in the start I'd say you should ditch blink dagger on Luna.

Portal key is always better than assassin's shroud because it can't be countered by wards/dust/eye.
In pubs, assassin's shroud can be better because people are bad and won't buy wards.

blink is never a bad item. the only heros that dont need it are ones with blink themselves. if you buy a blink, i very highly doubt you will regret it, ever.

imo there is only one reason to get blink with luna, and that would be that you are extremly feeded and want to have some fun annoying the hell out of the other team. in all other cases i'd say that shroud is the more resoneble choise..

only if you spam cloud/blink. also, bottle riki would work very well, so bad example :p

why not? he could camp runes while invis. im not saying hes a good mid solo, but bottle riki wouldnt be a bad idea.
bottle any hero isnt a bad idea. same with blink.

Yes it would be. Bottle is bad on riki, just like blink is bad on Luna. It's beneficial to have these items on both if say a player drops on your team, but by no means should you buy them yourself. They delay real items that aren't useless.

id disagree.
blink and bottle are 2 items that have limitless uses.
why would you get a blinkstick on zeus?
same reason to get it on luna.
why get not get bottle on riki? 3 charges will effectively make him go from empty to full in a few seconds.
you seem to disregard an idea simply because it hasnt been used before.

blink on zeus was very popular in high level matches. i dont know if it still is, as i stopped paying attention to the competitive scene a while ago.
i know pro level players (fine player) that advocate blink on zeus. their word > yours.

Blink is great on any hero IMO, as long as you aren't aiming to get it as a core item (unless your hero works well with it as a core item).
Makes for some great confusion.

Situationally useful for chasing/escaping/surpriseULTlulz but not worth getting if it delays core items like Bkb, etc.

Blink dagger has its place, but for my MQ build i go treads, helm, then manta, then wingbow/SoR fallowed by SoR/wingbow. I like manta over escape tools on MQ, cause i like 3 MQs bouncing crap off the walls.

Manta is a staple item for MQ. I like Post Haste over Treads in pubs also, so I can rice farm even harder.
i love blink, i go blink on anyone when i can afford it, its great for chaseing and running its just a great items, i think someone above said, if u don't already have a blink u can't go wrong
