I need major help!!!! (Christmas Present)

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays.

I just purchased HoN yesterday in the heat of the moment. I've recently been watching HoN streamed live and have played DotA in the past for many many years.

I've encountered many problems though, which STILL has not allowed me to play one game...Well their was one, but I was lagging the whole entire time.

So my problem is that everytime I run HoN, it takes up so much memory usage and virtual memory in the task manager.

Using over 500K Mem and over A MILLION Virtual Memory. This is constant no matter what screen I am on. Which makes it A LOT harder to learn the game and all the different screens and functions.

I REALLY want to start playing this game and REALLY need someones help to try and fix this to where I can play lag free (like I saw in my live streams =D). HoN looks like a really awesome game and I cannot wait to play. So any help will be VERY appreciated. Have a great holiday and new year.

Edit/ Some of the major problems are the first load screen with the S2 Gorilla, and then again when I try to find a match. I once watched the green bar try to fill up for over 10 minutes...Pretty rediculous and stupid. I WANNA PLAY HoN!!!

Edit2/ I did a ping test and found out I am losing a lot of packets. What can I do to fix this? I am losing 60-80% of my packets which is most likely the problem. But again, any help and suggestions are appreciated.

If I just paid 10$ to play this game and I can't even play it, it will be pretty dissapointing. DotA runs fine on my computer and it doesn't have designated servers that don't lag...Whats the deal...?

E/ Called my ISP and resolved the 80% packet loss problem. It was my router, now im running straight from the modem. The only problem I still have is the slow loads and massive Virtual Memory being used. Usually 900K-1 Million.

It takes forever to load the green bar for a match, and im sure it will still lag in game, but im trying! BECAUSE I WANT TO PLAY THIS SO CALLED AWESOME GAME? =D

Which are?? Sorry, not everyone is a computer expert..

I can do ping tests and that sort of thing on pingtest/speedtest.net, I have no packet loss, only REALLY bad delay and lag.

Like I said, it takes forever to load the first start up screen, green bars to find matches, picking heroes, pretty much everything...
