TMM - "No Response from Server"

Post your console.log in this thread if you are experiencing this issue.

"No Response from Server" popup occuring after joining a queue for Matchmaking.

Temporary Fix:


Lately whenever I recieve the error, I go to create game, then browse the server list and refresh it. After it has finished refreshing I search for the game manually in the games list by typing in the game name (or part of it so the search narrows down). Once I locate it I can join the game.

Just doing this seems to have eliminated the problem for me. But I want to know if this works for anyone else.

This has happened to me twice since the 2.0 patch hit (which I'm loving, otherwise.

I've played just about 10 MM games so far and this happened twice, awarding me the only two disconnects on my account.

Please fix this asap, and possibly, get rid of my two leaves resulting from this? :<

I've removed my router firewall (which includes the tcp flooding or whatever this is :D ) and Ive opened all my ports in the router.
I can't join match making games :(

I am currently on my 7th attempt now. I have 2 wait over 15 minutes sometimes 2 get in which means i dont get the consecutive bonus for the coins. Kinda sucks. I dont understand. Like 1 in 5 times itll work no problem but thats it.

i somehow found out that, refreshing the match stats page (just open it and let the coins etc refresh) before trying MM works good for me.
If I still get "no response" --> log out from hon, login again and join a game.

Won't connect to the shop. And when i write inforum, tech support alway answers "Indeterminate". I don't know what is it.

The problem is solved here :). Just got in my router`s settings and turn off the firewall. It works to me and now i`m so happy to play TMM without hours of waiting :))). I`ll be glad if I help

Didn't know which Prefix to use but I figured this would be the "correct" one if I were to use one.

I was playing a game which went quite good and I lost the game (they conceded 5v4) due to me not being able to get back in, just getting "No response from server"...

A lot of the other people got this aswell but they could reconnect, however I could not.

I was hoping you could fix this.

Same problem, same deal after patch 2.0. Had it for at least a few weeks now. MM doesn't work solo or in teams. Once 2.0 hit it was a bit buggy but after a few fails I could get in. Now 100% failure.

I have the same problem here aswell. It's not the router because my brother does play perfectly fine. And I shouldn't have to turn my firewall off to play matchmaking when it does with a friend, who DOES have his firewall turned on! The weird thing is that if you try it for 40 times you might get in once or twice. But after that it's all bogus again.

It would be futile to post my console log here because I doesn't seem that S2 is looking at them. 2.0.16 and still not fixed. It's getting really annoying. And I'm losing my patience.

Ok everybody, I logged in into my Cisco Cable Modem and found the fix for me. The following settings under Setup --> Firewall - Options were enabled:

After disabling both my connection problems were fixed.

My brother is getting the exact same problem when he tries to join games. I invite him to the group we wait for the game to begin, when a game is found I load and see that everyone else has a green circle except for him, his is grey. When mine disconnects his stays searching for a while after then eventually says... No Response From Server... Should be a fix for this by now come on guys.

I keep getting crashes, usually when i have jsut picked my hero and we are all loading up, and then again midway through a match. It's so annoying and has happened ever since 2.0.29. patch. Never happened before.

Also several times in a game do we get lagg issues. Everyone on the team suffers from it where your character just stops on the spot (like he is running) and can cause your character to be in a situation he did not intend to be in.

Always happen if I play TMM with my Brother over same connection.
I did Router-FW Update and opned ports (from tech glossary).

If I play alone without my Brother, I can play with my friends via TMM.

Hello S2, i would like to be able to connect to the game, but everytime i try to connect Matchmaking i get "No Response from Server" or "connection timeout", so i think its a bug that began a few days ago, maybe something changed in the update, but it seems something important to be solved, so please, put a little more priority to this bug, cause we can't play, thanks.

i can't find any public game or join any game it just says : no response from server.. this just happened yesterday .

I found a fix for this.
I couldn't turn off my firewall on my router(Tomato Fireware), so I had to turned off "PPP IP extension" on my DSL modem everytime I play HON lol.

Hello, I have the no response issue when trying to connect MM. If I solo queue I get to play on like 1/3 tries, which is annoying but fine. The cute thing is that when I try to queue with group or I try to follow someone in my friends list, or even spectate / mentor him i get to do it like 1/99999999999 times (didn't calculate it just only happened once :/) Any ideas? I got the same problem, but i can only connect to MM in like 1/5 tries, without getting "no response issue". Im sure the problem is out of my range, because I never had this problem before, since like 2-3 patches ago.

Really irritating to be banned the whole time.

Fix this! I have paid for this game!

edit; i think i was wrong, because this solution seems to have solved the problem. (so far)

i had some package loss, found out after many tests on pingtest.net

Before i suffered of "lagspikes", time to time, in-game too, they are now gone.

Can't connect to chat server for over a week. Cant play Matchmaking games. The icon is grey, says a patch is coming. Yesterday it suddenly worked for one game, then back to not working!
