Does Slithers poison spray guaranteed to hit your target, or do you have to time it?

Has a slight delay the farther a target is I BELIEVE. Think it was like that in DotA (Not instant), not aware to the exact numbers but you do have to aim it.

I can confirm that there's a delay but it's much smaller than what the animation would have you believe. Generally if they're within 600 or so they're guaranteed to be hit

Another question about this spell:
Does it "linger" as the animation would have you believe...like if i walk into it after its cast to i get the effect?

No, I don't think the projectile instantly hits if that's what you're wondering, I think it takes maybe a little less than half a second to get to the target. Not only that but it has a casting time before that of a fraction of a second. The range is large though. Just make sure when you spray you are not shooting at someone who's at maximum range. Shoot past\through your target to make sure you are in correct range.
