So many games I played now, as Succubus I seen us pretty much murder the opposition. But then the table turns and they brings in AoE like Magmus, Stealthers like Madman and Scout and they seemingly tend to rip us a new ***
In late games my buddies picked Arachna and Bloodhunter, I as Succubus.
Defiler, Moon Queen, Thunderbringer, so on so on or Madman/Scout/etc, etc.
Seemingly everything goes boom when they arrive, add Magmus to it and they tear up the lanes like a hot knife in bread. Any tactics at all to counter this? Really big suprises all the time.

Wards, Wards, and More Wards.. Both types. Fill up the map at Key points. They shouldn't be able to surprise you after that.

Don't play 5 soft characters and don't cluster. If you are on Succubus, stay well behind the pack. It may seem like you are an initator because of all of your disables, but it will only get you killed if you run into the fight waving your totem of kuldra and sleeping everyone. Wait until either side initiates, preferably yours and disable their 2/3 keys players, don't use your ult on the person everyone is gang raping and try to keep a pocket dissable be it skill or item in case your get jumped by garbage /cough I mean scout.

Good advices, I noticed that Succubus is no freaking initator even if people complain one is to far behind or something.
Going up alone = Death cause they will stun you so hard or Legionnaire force melee's you to death.
Wards, perhaps should be a good idea to start using them.
Totem of Kuldra I never used but I gonna give it a check, usually goes fro Puzzle box and today I got sacrificial stone.

Don't bother with Sac Stone. There are alot of routes you can take to gain suvivability if that is what you are going for. I personally do not care for puzzlebox but that is moreso because I find managing 4+ disables fills my micro management quota for the game. I know alot of bane/succy players swear by puzzlebox so use it if you like. Totem of kuldra is the perfect item for succubus. Storm spirit is also fun as it give you yet another disable and additional run speed. After that, buy wards.

I started out with Storm Spirit but changed to others. Totem? Hmm
Wards you say? I should look at them.

After buying your starting set of gear, get enhanced marchers and start working towards your totem. If you find yourself unable to farm enough for it, and you really need the extra disable, get a storm spirit, otherwise the totem is better in almost every way. Follow with frostfield plate and wards. Should have one fortified bracer, enchanced marchers, totem of kuldra, frostfield plate, homecoming stone and wards.

Puzzlebox lvl 3 sees stealth
Yeah that's a good option because puzzlebox is very che- waitttt a minute....
Also, succ and blood? I feel like these aren't great to have on a team together since blood wants movement and succ denies movement...Onno just my 2 cents.

As a Succubus player you should be very cautious in team battles. Your strength is not in big melees, but in disabling single targets. Try to spread out (for example 2 by 2 and a lonely initiator like Behemoth, Legionnaire etc)
You always sleep the heavy nuker (TB, Magmus without Dagger, etc) and try to chain stun/disable another quickly.
Oh, and don't get Sac Stone on Succubus, trully terrible item. Sac Stone is just for heavy nukers with low cooldowns on spells (Defiler, Torturer, TB), you have fairly long cooldowns. Try Puzzle Box, Stormspirit, Totem, etc. If you are worried about HP, just get a Glow Stone for Staff later.

Have you by chance heard of this hero called Pestilence?
Aside from wards and dust, Pest 1. reveals stealth and 2. can insta-stun aoe blinkers unless they have Shrunken Head, in which case it means wards again.
Why don't people use him more? Current HoN meta by my reckoning he's one of the strongest heroes for pubs as people don't bother to get Shrunken Head.

pesti is a trash farmer, his strength comes from ganking, and for that you need a team that isnt downs syndrome >.>

Wards to mitigate ganks.
The biggest thing you have to do with an AOE lineup is initiate on them. If you give them time and time to initiate on you, they're going to blow you up.

Ah look! A Picard Facepalm!
Then I kick Sac stone out the door. Some guide told one to get it.
Also I seemingly got a problem, I started to play as Arachna, then jumped over to Succubus, so played as Arachna some days ago and got stoomped badly. Seemingly I am rather unbalanced all in all. Anyway! I need a good Legion class aswell when I am forced to pick legion.
This gone a bit off topic now but there been so good tips and help so I continue on it :D

A standard legion build gets black helm, marchers, port key, and then probably heart. Skills to lvl are the taunt and whirlwind axe abilities. The key to Legion is blinking in and taunting while the other group is clustered. You are an initiator and a tank. You can creep neutrals in the forest with ease after you get your black helm, but only neutral when your team doesnt need you and your lanes are pushed too far into enemy territory.

By Legion "class", he probably meant a hero from the Legion side, not Legionnaire :D
Best Legion heroes for new players are probably Thunderbringer, or some kind of support hero, for example Nymph, Pyromancer, etc.

Thanks Tsang for the tip! But yeah I meant the legion as in faction :)
I did try Nymph but got badly beaten up, might be that the other 2 in 3 v 3 was so eager to hold a line on their own and have me alone on the other line. Bad move.
Legionnaire is not a noob class?
