Fun but REALLY hard. I would say you need to tweek his turn speed, manacosts, and the amount of units that spawn...

Let him run in a small circle.

Really hard, you could tweak his turn speed and the amount of bad guys, also, if you die, becomes impossible to fight again, too many units at once.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to make the map restart itself, map editor hasn't been out very long so there's not much examples or help out there yet.
It's best to disconnect and reload the map when you die, the second load is luckily very quick.

Think I'm gonna keep the values as is for now, want to know how long people are managing to survive. Gonna set the mark at 5 mins, that should be relatively easy to reach. After which I'll tweak the numbers a little.

The trick is to balance your mana, it regens fast (2mana per sec) so if you use an normal attack, you already saved like +-8 mana. The normal attack is much slower than your silver bullet though, so knowing when to use what is the key to surviving longer and making sure you can survive the bigger spawns.

Wolves take two normal attacks or one silver bullet.

His graveyard skill is powerful and can be use to take out mulitple enemies, but it's expensive.
30/25/20 respectively. I've limited the skills to 3 levels btw.

His second skill is cheap so you can use it to slow an enemy down long enough to get in an another normal attack and in turn save mana.

His mana steal can be used on the skeleton boss to gain a little mana. Just note that he requires at least two shots with the silver bullet to go down. Or one bullet and two physical attacks.

Oh almost forgot, the "double tap technique", if you use the ulti too fast on multiple units, your basically que-ing your attacks making you attack slower.

Silver Bullet:
casttime="850"
castactiontime="300"

If you use the skill again the moment the bullet leaves the barrel, you will attack again almost instantly.

For instance:
3 perfectly timed attacks would of taken 900ms
3 badly timed attacks would of taken 2.5 seconds.

Might tweak it a little so a bad attack is less punishing.

I lasted 28 seconds.

Edit: 1:20

I stand by what i said.. nobody wants to play a game for 30 seconds then start over -_-

I don't remember my time, but I didn't make it too far..

Fun, nice idea, but needs to be tweaked. I agree with Lon that it needs to be a bit easier, and progressively get harder. Cool idea, though.

well, I lasted for 10minutes and it still didnt get any harder so I quited. Progressively harder pls. And maybe add diffrent skill levels also?:) Was fun otherwise. One flaw was also that I died at 7 minutes but already had 1.5k cash so just insta buybacked :D

Gonna have to learn how to have more control over the creep waves before I continue any further. So far I've only been using neutral spawns which is mostly random. Been using duds to spawn blanks if that makes any sense.

For instance I can't have 4 different spawners that spawn at different time intervals.

looks very good, I'll test it ;)

This is pretty cool actually. Only problem is the pacing/scaling, you tend to get overwhelmed too soon.

This map has a huge potentiel, if you either gave him a bit more mana or adjusted the amount of creeps coming to him then i think it would already be a huge improvement. You could also implement a wave feature that counts the waves and actually gives you like 4-5 seconds after each wave to quickly regen a few hp n mana, and maybe after every 5th or 6th wave a shop could be available where u can buy MP, HP and items like FFP or costum items?

2:20, whatsup

EDIT:

Okay I played this once more and now I could play for 20 minutes without dying once, at that time I quited cause I got bored, it didnt get any harder. But like the concept =)

Most enjoyable singleplayer map I've played so far.
I'd so something about Power Drain though. I don't know how much work it would be to remove the spell but at the very least you can add an unreachable level requirement (the same way you made SIlver Bullet learnable at 1).

I disagree with SirHogwash; don't make this map too complex! I like how it emphasizes mana management and getting the most out of your auto attacks. Adding items would make it a totally different and (IMO) less anjoyable game. It just doesn't add to what the map is about.

If only I had time and a slightly better brain. Have some pretty damn cool ideas, especially after the introduction of some new heroes like Master of Arms.
