Hello everyone, my first post here so /care for newb i guess.

I am running an Ubuntu 10.10 MM (I know it is not LTS) on Toshiba Satellite A200.

Lately I have been experiencing the issue of sudden performance drop on hero level up. Apparently it does not matter whether the graphics are maxed out or on absolute minimum configuration (The cpu is overclocked to 2.6 if that matters, but the working temp is 50 C so not overheating issue).

The drop happens precisely on lvl up animation and persist until you actually invest the ability point.

Waiting for your feedback.
Best wishes Micro

could you remove your ~/.Heroes of Newerth
directory and try again.

Do this occur in a practice mod if the hero levels up?

also:

I wouldn't call it a memory leak. It has been shown that there isn't a predominant memory leak in HoN (esp the linux client)

The OGL engine (which effects linux, osx and windows if you enable that option) are under-optimized when compared to windows BUT it isn't so much that it is unplayable.

To resolve this could you provide some infomation

#1 console.log (as to my sig)
#2 the output of the bash 1liner (from my sig, you may need todo apt-get install mesa-utils first)
#3 /etc/X11/xorg.conf
#4 amount of RAM you have and the amount of VRAM you have
#4 output of cat /proc/mtrr
