Grimms every thing you need to dominate

Keeping wards up 100% of the time and counter warding will win you the game hands down 90% of the time. In a game with good players most of your team fights will be over keeping wards up so knowing where they all are is critical. Against a bad team keeping your wards up will lead to an easy win.

Wards

These are all the most optimal ward spots on the map. There are of course other places you can place them but they provide less vision then these ward spots do and generally don't show any more of the map.

Rune wards and counter ward

The cliff ward spots are for when you put down a counter ward so you can see all of their possible ward locations. There is a minor difference in each of the 4 ward spots but i wouldn't worry to much about it. The blue dot is for counter warding and can see almost every single possible ward spot except for the in base or near the tower ones.

Awesome vision ward

I just love these spots because they give lots of vision. This combined with a rune ward make it much harder to get ganked. You want to put the ward on the enemy teams side because they are more likely to take that path then the one closer to your base. Useful for an early blood lust since you can wait for some one to get near the hill and teleport in on them.

Offensive push ward

Gives you vision of the towers. They are most useful when the other team is turtling in the trees near the base because you will have vision of all of the paths there and can initiate on them.

pushing in base wards

Gives you vision of inside the enemy teams base. If you don't place these in the right spot the towers will detect them. Also be careful not to have its vision get blocked by the trees there is a sweet spot for these babies you just have to find it.

bonus ward spot

This ward spot is horrible unless you cut down the trees that are on top of it. This spot gives you a great deal of vision of the lanes as well as vision of the rune spawn. Not recommened just an interesting fact.

Heroes who excel on this map coming soon

When deciding what hero you are going to pick on this map there are 4 things i generally consider.

disables
mobility
vision
health

Being able to disable is a huge factor on this map. Because of the smaller number of heroes and confined space on the map single target and aoe disables have a huge impact. Having a team with nothing but disables can easily net you a win.

Mobility allows you to escape ganks which happen a lot and get to a gank in the blink of an eye. A hero with good mobility can be impossible to kill and even harder to shake.

A number of key abilities give vision when you use them. Because of the number of vision blockers and juke spots these abilities are much much better then they are on other maps. being able to see whats going on allows you to escape ganks or find that one person who is cut of from his team.

health is last but hardly least. Because this is a 3v3 map the amount of damage a hero can be hit with at once is much smaller then in a 5v5. It is easily possible to win team fights just by out tanking the other team. Items like hotbl are fantastic on this map and can make you almost impossible to kill.

Now for the mvps
:slit: powerful slows and ward spam grants a massive amount of vision
:pand: disable heaven
:tund: massive vision, the ability to cut down trees, and a powerful disable
:doct: mobility, disable, and his nukes will give clear vision around them
:poll: massive disables and can push like a beast
:succ: disable the entire team!

The mvps are just a couple of the wonderful heroes on this map. There are pluses and minuses for every single hero and in most games just picking a hero you are effective with will work.

Nice spots, should help out my friends who are always freaking out when I have them come play 3v3 and they don't know where to ward.

Should add the wards on the ground behind the T1 towers as an alternative when the other spot is cwarded (it's the only ward that you didnt add that is worth using).

Intersting thing if you lane with slither in this game: dump wards on the wardspot at the T1 tower n aggro the camp, you can have your toxin wards take out the neutral camp while you lane = more income & possibly xp if in range.

Heroes that excell on this map can be sumarized pretty easy: Heroes with lots of nukes, disables & pushing power.

You forgot a few though. I don't want to sound like I'm bashing or anything (it really is some nice work, I would do it if I could be arsed, but I simply can't, so props to you).
Just saying.

On top of the reg juke, there are some really nice jukespots that you can utlize with a hatchet /single rune.

They are just the super common ones. There are a number I left out because they are stupid and need to be fixed. Also don't really want to get into all the possible jukes if you are cutting down a single tree because there are a lot of them.

There are some, not that much. Ofcourse you could like, take around every tree etc, but i'm referring to a handful of clear ones laid out jukes where you just need to cut 1 tree away.

I did a solo Q matchmaking for 3v3 and my teammates refused to pick Succubus. Said she was bad for 3v3.

I died a little inside.

I think balphagor should be added to MVPs, due to pushing power and the power of minions in a 3v3 situation.

Also, awesome maps. Already knew the ward positions, but the juke spots were a nice touch.

Another awesome guide Drasha

Voodoo Jester is great on this map as well. Two heroes going for ward at the same time? Guess who's stunlocked.

This should be in the premium guides section, or stickied somewhere?

Tagged anyways for future reference :)

Thanks, Drasha, I've been looking for help on this map. I can play 5v5 just fine with a nice win percentage, but can't play 3v3 very well. I think a lot of it comes down to vision and team coordination.

Also is Night Hound a particularly good hero for 3v3? I would say yes for the following reasons (but what would I know): You force a lot of people to sacrifice an already limited income to counter invis. In addition he can roam/assist with ganks very nicely if you can't find him. Even with counter wards there are plenty of places to hide. Finally with pounce and silence, he can initiate fights quite nicely, especially from invis. Pounce also allows you to get a few quick and easy last hits as your moving around.

I play this all the time now I find it faster and fun lots of action. I think 2 good heroes to add as MVPs are Devourer and Pebbles. There are others as well but these 2 can do very well early and lots of places to hide and pounce on your prey. AOE stuns such as Moaraxus and Pestilence can be useful as well... and I guess Fayde falls into the category with Dev and Pebbles as she can sneak up and destroy someone.
