Guides space is precious, and every unnecessary thread devalues the space of real guides, thereby effectively lowing the navigability of the forum and increasing new players' frustration in learning. Therefore, the mods will be heavily enforcing the rules in this section with moves, deletions, and infractions.

New threads must be either a guide or strategy.
One-shot questions should be asked in the Ask a Question thread (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=5823).
No joke guides and strategies.
There will be no leeway with this rule. Keep the jokes to Off-Topic (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/forumdisplay.php?f=5).
No balance or mechanics discussion allowed outside the scope of argument.
Do not make a thread asking "does this stack with this"--that's for Mechanics (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/forumdisplay.php?f=22). Do not go into a Madman guide saying "Madman is broken anyone that plays him is an idiot"--that's for Balance (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/forumdisplay.php?f=13).
General forum rules based on the ToS (http://beta.heroesofnewerth.com/dl_beta.php) apply. No offensive content, flaming, spam, etc., allowed.
Do not engage in ad hominem arguments with users. Keep discussions logical, and back up claims with evidence.

Rule-breaking posts should be reported [http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/images/buttons/report.gif]!

In addition, you may use this topic to discuss the rules and moderation policy, as well as to request guides.

This is great. I've had such big problems finding guides for some of the heroes when I need them :p At least now, I don't have to scan through "worthless" threads.

Perhaps add that using the search is a great way to find guides. Just make sure you use advanced titles only hero name only in the hero guides and strategy section. What is the policy for old guides with all of their images broken?

I guess that's what the Archives are for if they're that outdated

If I were to make a guide, should I post it in here first, to get some critique before posting it in the drafts section?
