Since I got a "new" machine from work I have experienced a pretty bad framerate. I have tried everything even remotely related which have been posted in this forum, disabling sound, reinstalling, every graphic setting etc.

I even went out and bought a new GFX card, but still experience a framerate between 20 and 30 whenever there is action on screen which is a little more dense that lane phase.

System:
Dell Precision 690
Windows 7 64bit enterprise
Intel 5000x chipset
Dual XEON 5080 CPUs(3.7ghz)
4GB pc-5300 ECC memory dual channel
OCZ VertexII SSD harddrive
Geforce GTX 570
30mbit fiber connection

All drivers are up to date according to DriverMax

Here is a console log of a couple of games:

What's your cpu usage like when in game? I'd like to try and figure out what's causing the bottleneck.

I'm at work right now so I will get back to you later about the CPU usage

Ok, got it now:

I have Hon and skype running

And btw, the latest patch didn't change anything for me :(

Yeah, HoN is using 100% cpu for some reason. Because Windows 7 groups driver instances in with the process, it's hard to tell what's causing such high cpu usage. I'm running on an i7 980x @ 4.3Ghz and get maybe 20% cpu usage in game, so I would think one of the drivers is acting up.

So, what do I do about that?

I just removed the affinity from CPU 0 and gonna try a game with that

that wasn't any good

I uploaded another log from the newest update:

Hmm. I'd like to try running the linux client if you're able to do that. I know you can install ubuntu without repartitioning. Is that too much to ask? I basically want to use it to test if it's a software or hardware issue causing the problem.

That is a good idea, I am gonna try it when I get home.
On another note I also thought about the fact that there are 2 physical CPUs and that I could try and remove one of them to see if it helps anything?

exactly the same framerate in Ubuntu :(

Ok, I have tried a couple of other benchmarks which gave me some odd results compared to "similar" specced machines that I could google.

First Batman Arkam asylum, this performed equally bad as HoN is doing
Then Furmark which was on par with the benchmarks I could find

Hmm. It must be something hardware related, then, if ubuntu is having the same problems. Is your bios up to date?

Yes :(

The developers are aware of the fps problems. Hopefully they'll be fixed, soon.

I got tired and bought a new machine, runs a rock solid 125fps, happy new year :)

Gotta love new rigs :). I just bought crysis due to the 75% off steam sale and have been having a blast playing it on max settings on my nvidia gtx 480 I got last summer :).
