"Instant Termination" of Hero Bug

Post the Match ID & time of when they got terminated if the hero got terminated *immediately* upon their disconnect or if they got terminated irregularly.

Conditions that you must fulfill:

- Another person must not log onto your account. If they do then it's probable that they fulfill the next condition.
- Don't attempt to join another game if you are disconnected in another game. If you attempt to join another game, then it instantly terminates you, which is intended.

If anyone can provide me with a Match ID/timestamp of this incident while fulfilling the above conditions, then I can confirm this bug.

Has happened to me a couple of times today, yet most were in nostats. This is the only one during a stats game. Getting 'kicked' out, some message of someone trying to log into the game on my account (is not the case??).

Should I just refrain from playing right now?

Edit: Both a loss and a leave have been recorded. I hope this can be fixed, because both getting leaves where I didn't and not being able to properly play stats is kind of disappointing :(

I had this happen to me, and then just now it gave me messages about how I was being disconnected from the chat server, and then I was logged out. I logged back in and there was no reconnect message to the game, so now it counts as a leave for me. Kind of disappointed about this

Ok so I was playing with my friend, and we decided to play the new map, Grimms Crossing or something like that. As soon as the match begun, my bud, the forsaken archer, disconnected from the server. And when he tried to reconnect, he couldnt. Because apparantly he had been disconnected for 5 mins, although the match had only last like 10 - 15 sec when he tried to reconnect. I, ofc, tried to remake, but the psr whores on the other team, didnt want too obviously. Then i noticed that his (forsaken) icon on the top left of the screen wasnt there, like he had already dced. But that was 30 sec into the game, and on top of that, I COULD CONTROLL HIS HERO 20 min into the game, but he was never in the game.

I experienced a problem with a crash/not being able to reconnect today. I lost connection due to an issue with my router and had to reset my connection to it (took about 2 mins). I restarted the game and got the "214 seconds(or so) to reconnect" - message.
This was in itself unusual as i usually get a buggy number in the millions and have to logout/login for it to work.
When i clicked reconnect, the client crashed.
I started it again, getting the freakish large number of seconds again.
Reconnect did not work, so i logged out/logged in again. The reconnect option did not reappear. Buddys in the game told me that i had been terminated around that time, although i had time left to reconnect and they had paused.
Please care for something like that not happening again or reset my leaves, S2.

There is a bug with the present Nvidia drivers in linux SUCH that they will cause HoN to crash if I tab out

I was just in a game ( 24253358 )
I crashed out a couple of times and re-joined just fine.

I had ~200sec left on the reconnect clock HOWEVER 1/2 way through the re-connect I got terminated even with plenty of time left on the reconnect timer.


Analyzing the replay to see when I disconnected, when I reconnected and what time I have left on the reconnect clock:
NOTE every disconnect results in the popup of "you have 4452053202 sec to reconnect" ie I have to logout for about 5sec to allow things to get in sync for it to then report 295 seconds to reconnect.

This is all clearly seen in the replay


I d/c @ 0:00 on the clock and reconnected with 4:47 on reconnect timer
I d/c @ 21:37 on the clock and reconnected at 21:56 with 4:27 on reconnect timer
I d/c @ 25.00 on the clock and reconnected at 25.22 with 4.02 on the reconnect timer
I d/c @ 34.58 on the clock and immediately got TERMINATED even though I had over 4min on the reconnect clock left

unfortunetly the vast majority of the time it isnt possible to provide a representative console.log

since hon overwrites the logfile every time it starts *if* the circumstances surrounding the termination (ie an initial disconnect) were that of a crash (like in my case) then no log associated with the termination will exist

Wait instant termination bugs are getting mixed in with non-terminated hero

These are two different things

Instant termination happens during the game and they are gone
non-terminated hero happens when the player d/c at the pick stage and the reconnect timer times out & his actual HERO (usually due to the d/c person never picked and it was a random) is still present in the game resulting in easy food for the enemy if they farm the fountain or someone griefs and feeds (since the stats gained from this non-terminated hero are still contributed to the picker)

So a teamfight occurs, and halfway through it my Hon crashes, so id like some help on that too if possible just tell me wether and where u want the crash report. I just started a match and experienced a graphical glitch. I restarted HoN and my team paused the game. When I logged back into HoN, there was no Reconnect button listed. I relogged into HoN again, and the button was still not there. I tried an old trick that usually works in this case -- I opened the console and typed reconnect, but the game refused to reconnect me.

Finally, I right clicked on my friend's name (who was on my team and in the same match) and chose "Join Game". This caused my hero to terminate instantly in-game... awarding me with my very first disconnect (out of 782 matches).

At around 5 minutes, MalReynolds got instantly terminated for attempting to reconnect to the game to fix his voice chat delay.
He was active and in the game the entire time to that point. He did not join another game, nor did anyone else log onto his account.

Around 2-3 minutes in the game I had a lagspike, got booted from the game and my hero was instantly terminated. I was still ingame when it happened (could hear voice chat but couldn't perform any action) so it can't be me joining another game or someone else logging in on my account.

Hi , upping that tread because also had that termination bug.I was in the game then was disconnected with a " no response from servor".Then i tried to reconnect and it tells me its impossible because someone has connected on my account which is absolutely not the case, not being disconnected from hon and not joining any other game.I am also the only one with my password.
My mates which were in the game inform me that i was instantly terminated , at the exact moment i was disconnected , without any time to pause or anything and with the 5 minutes remaining , even before i tried to reconnect and get the someone has connected on your account error.Counted as a normal leave with the -10 mmr and all.
Hope it will be fixed in advance and the leave and the mm penalty removed .It was a sure loss anyway but its still 5 mmr.

I just timed out while loading and after I reconnected I saw the menu and a zoomed in version of the meatball or something(there where the animation from the dragon, mountain and so on is)

His game crashed at picking phase, he logs in, reconnects, after the countdown is over he gets terminated like he never joined, no icon in the scoreboard, he is in game with the nick "?????" with no hero, the game registered as a 4v5, mmr loss same as a 5v5.

Was in the hero pick screen, I d/c for a couple of seconds and when I rejoined the game my hero was terminated. I had preselected ophelia and managed to reconnect in the loading screen, but my hero wasnt there. When I got into the game, the camera was stuck fully zoomed in from what I'm guess was the tree of life because I could see the blue glow from the invuln and I could hear the double towers attacking. At the match stat screen it doesnt even have my name in the game but it is linked to my account somehow because I can access it as my last game. I'm pretty sure that I can recreate this bug each time if needed.

My mate was also in the hero pick screen and d/c, because he had a graphic bug. As the game started he tried to reconnect and you could see that ???? is connected. His hero was directly gone, but he could use the chat. The bug is known in hon community, but our opponents didnt want to remake, so we played this game 4v5 without any choice or the intention of him leaving this game. Id like to see that the game doesnt count anymore, would be a nice sign for such behaviour in our community ;)

I ( H_O_H ) got dc from a game, probably because of a local net flash because for a few seconds I had no web connection too ( network icon in taskbar was ok ) . Re-login, timer on pop-up showed 270+ seconds remaining. Got dc again in mid blue connection bar, re-login immediately, and got message saying I exceeded the maximum reconnection time. I estimate I had over 240 sec left. This never happened to me before and i've been playing since game came out.

A day or two before, I got disconnected from a game and in relogin screen I had my nik + "a" ( like this : H_O_Ha ). I corrected and relogin ok.

By the way, I'm writing this from my UHU account because I can't login to forums with my H_O_H or Quickrod accounts. This is an old issue, over a year. A support worker went over it with me, even showed me that he can login to forums with these accounts and post threads, but I still can't. I can login to game client fine so I let it be.

I just got terminated after approx 1 1/2 min, after getting a "no response from server" while loading into a 3v3 game. I even had my friends pause the game. I was not able to rejoin and I cannot even spectate them, because it says I used too much time to reconnect. Don't know if this is a known issue, as I know the HoN client has had a lot of trouble running properly on mac. Thought I would at least post something here, so you can check it out if you have time...

I timeouted, and before the server realized I timeouted I hit ctrl+f8 "reconnect"
Game told me "could not reconnect, timed out"
i used it again, this time got " could not authorize, pls relog"
I relogged, and when I clicked on popup box, the client told me I exceeded the amount of reconnects.

It happend with subaccount. I relogged stright onto the sub when this occured.

Uncertian about exact time, but after 10-15 mins purple instant dc, get terminated and everyone in the game hears a strange, very loud noise, emitting from the position of purples hero.
Sounded like if one of his/her spells got spam-casted from an game loop and they player therefore got kicked for spamming the server with data.
