This aint LoL (Announcers) replaces the new announcers with the default announcer and also removes the rainbow text.
No longer do your parents or kids have to listen to "It's a three way!" being blasted when you're playing HoN.
A more professional HoN for everybody especially shoutcasters.

It "just" overwrites the alternative announcers with the default ones.

Not everyone enjoys "Fabulous", I certainly don't.

May I suggest something? Make it so that that we still hear original announcer and see original text, but make it so we somehow can see which announcer pack people are using.

This way, I can focus my attention ganking anyone with the flamboyant pack.

Even if you don't hear any new announcer (since you've overwritten them with the original) I'm pretty sure that at least one person in the game you're playing will comment if someone has the flamboyant pack. I.e. the flam-boy gets bloodlust, someone will inevitably allchat, "Cherry popper! xD" or something to that effect. Then you can see who got the 'lust and then gank the crap out of him.

S2 has already stated they won't ban local-content-changing mods that don't affect gameplay such as this one. Besides, as was pointed out, they already have the option to mute announcers entirely.

Two things:

2) They can't add an option to disable taunt for the same reason you can't have a mod that disables taunt -- it affects gameplay and as such there is a lot of server-side action that local mods can't touch.

But anyways, it's not nothing to do with being homophobic, as most homos aren't anything like the announcer. It's just ugly and annoying. Completely out of place in the newerth atmosphere. It really is unenjoyable.

Puddings pack is just as bad. I'm not sure why a random staff member thought she could compete with a professional voice actor, but she failed.

The original dota sound pack is the best, and the original hon announcer isn't far behind.

That wasn't really a troll since it was all true. I bought the pack because I thought it was funny. Now theres an added bonus to it pissing people off because it doesn't fit the HoN atmosphere or they hate hearing that "gay voice".

As for the second part, ya that is fairly accurate. Great to see people cry so much over an announcer pack that has a one to two seconds worth of sound. Now that is a great purchase.

moreover i hope i will find a mod to disable the alternative heroes in game too. it makes hon a little bit unbalanced, if you don't know a hero at first sight and you have to wait until he attacks you the first time to recognize who's your opponent. you have any ideas about that?
