Hello,
We've recently upgraded our Ventrilo capacity, and thought we'd provide it to the public.
If you don't want to rely on the ingame voice chat, if you want a place to arrange matches or if your clan needs a channel (Just tell me and i'll arrange),
Feel free to use it.

Some problems with ingame chat
1) you can only talk when playing games
2) voice quality is poorer

True, which is why i use mumble
I have a vent server 25 slots, but mumble, its like zero delay, open source and just plain better in every way.

Zero delay is impossible, If you're not next to the person, even then there will be some delay whilst progressing what the person just said.

It's nice to see others with the same initiative, I have a swedish ventrilo server from light-speed aswell. the reason I suggest people to PM me for connection details is because I want to avoid forum scanners picking it up and using the address for malware usage. When you work with networking security you tend to get a bit like a safety junkie

Some problems with ingame chat
1) you can only talk when playing games
You can also talk in lobby and while picking heroes, you just have to unfocus the chat box so you can press the hotkey (pretty stupid).

vent is so bad. it uses more bandwidth than teamspeak and ingame voice chat combined.

lol. mumble is cross-platform though, vent and ts are crap in that department.

You have any info about the server? It went down yesterday and is still not up even thought they are usually pretty fast to get it up again. Have they changed ip again?

That's because the server is down or they have changed the ip. Still waiting for the TS to answer.
