Suggestion for SotM

Hi there, after checking out that username's post, i certainly had the idea of making at least, the suggestion for a SotM thread.
with 1 week for entries, and 3 weeks for voting. that could call a lot of entries and a lot of votes.
altought some information plan is needed to let people know when its working.
like a thread in each subforum, as warning.

or a general info/sticky thread with diferent announcements (like news, balance, upcoming content, rules and more... in with 1 of those would be "check media section for sotw/sotm contests and fan art"

i want to know what u guyz think.

(Love the new sig of yours) I think this is a good idea, a week of entries would be very cool, and it would get some fantastic entries, I'm sure.
Though, in three weeks voting, I think we would see the amount of votes go from really high at the beginning, to slim to none in the last week.
That's just a theory though, I could be wrong.

I dunno about having 2 sig comps at once. I'd say one or the other. I'd also say 2 weeks entry 2 weeks voting. Making a sig takes a lot longer than voting.

and yes, your right 2/2 instead of 1/3 for entries/voting.

Hum, well I don't really know.
The issue is not based on the lack of time for everyone, rather than the lack of publicity.
Fan Media is still a pretty silent section if compared to others. And Fan Media did not recieve a lot of coverage up to now.
In addition to that FM or the contest itself does lack some prestige at this point. Barely anyone knows that it does exist, the rest just does not really care about it.

If more people would know about this contest and that it is a great thing to participate then we can actually think about changing the system. It is just kinda strange that we should take additional time for voting, in the end everyone should be done after 1-3 days. It just comes down to the attention you'll bring to the section. At least that is my point of view.

Sye, is it possible to land either SotW or some art (maybe design it) in the newsletter, and maybe get S2 to have more newsletters, more often. I'm not sure what kind of things you can suggest to s2 or even if you can. But this might be worth it.

I am actually trying to get such things done, but my only contact person at this point is Nigma. I think we have to wait for 2.0 at first.

Also, maybe like, AotM. Art of the Month. Where you have about 3 weeks to make a piece of art, by category. It can be anything from a sig to a drawing you have done. It just has to be on theme. :D. This way 1 month could be legit, splitting it 3/1 assuming we get enough votes.
