Hey Chris can you rearrange a bit to have the 5th (back) row match the other 4 in width, so we can fit tony's comp back there should he bring it next time? Thanks!

@Chapy - Yeah we will do that.
So I may have one and maybe two sponsors for this event... the first one is planning to talk to a second one for me.
SO we will need some traffic to the GameClucks website for ppl coming to this.
Activity on forums and teams signing up will make the diff between having or not having sponsors.

Chris, in regards to attracting any potential sponsors. We can do things like rename these tournaments, adding 'Sponsored by' as well. I can also get the finals casted for sure which has potential to get both you and your sponsors web hits. I would mention that to any sponsors, the potential of having the finals casted can be pretty attractive since both their name will be exposed and website linked.
Oh, and we can advertise in game like what used to be done in pro DotA, so the sponsor names/websites and tournament will be shouted out essentially in game chat so it's viewable even when the replays are downloaded.

@Chapy - Agreed. I have a sponsorship request doc that I used for my Portland event and using for Pomona CA as well. I redid it for HoN Locals also and have sent it to a couple already. Bigfoot Networks decided to sponsor my Pomona event instead of the local HoN event. But anyway doing some of that now.
We need to see if we can get S2 to put this on their tournament page :) or throw cash at us :)

Get them teams together!
I know this one is on a Sunday, but we should be fine.
Need at least one WHOLE TEAM (*caugh* MindGame *caugh*) to bring their own machines so we have some spares and can seat almost everyone the whole time, or at least minimize the gaps between games.

I live in Seattle. Add me in game - lets see if we can form a decent team. I might have one other person who would be interested.

Even if you do not have a team SHOW UP!!
Form a pug team at the venue... this is a CHEAP tournament at $15 a person (I charge Halo and Smash kids $25-$40 each for tournaments, same with SSF4, they usually pay $20).
SHOW UP ANYWAY and form a pug team!
The more teams we have, the easier to get sponsors.
Sponsors = more prizes
More prizes = More teams
More teams = More prizes and Sponsors
More Prizes = More teams and eventually we have enough prize $$ that OOS teams come and them all of a sudden I take over the World!
So you coming means I take over the World!
Its a win/win

Dang you all are in Saskatchewan...
We may have to try an Online event.
I am getting close to launching a massive LAN League across the US for some other games, maybe I should add HoN.
MATRIX PEOPLE - Get at me at chris@gameclucks.com I am starting a new company sort of like iGames, only the focus of the site will be to actually promote game centers, not just talk about promoting them.

GameClucks1

NO, because no one actually says they are coming... hahah
I would assume the same 6ish teams from last time... and seeing some new names posting, that should add to 7 or 8 I would hope

We (friends and I) will be there, hopefully it'll be fun.
Do you need us to bring our own computers? I know one of my friends doesn't really feel like bringing his stuff so if we bring 4/5 is that ok and would we still be able to play near each other if that's the case?
Thanks.
GameClucks1
01-11-2011, 04:51 PM
Prefer all 5 bringing theirs.
We can not move our comps around, so you could end up away from each other.
I believe MindGame and Co are bringing theirs.
As long as one team all brings their own, we are in good shape. If no full team does, just means we will spend a little time rotating ppl on and off our Comps (which we may have to do anyway depending on # of teams).
chapy
01-12-2011, 01:38 PM
we'll bring our comps, all 5 of us, (assuming that row holds 5 now), so no one else needs to (i think)

Bellevue HoNer here, know about 5 other locals not mentioned in here who play. We have our clan (S4) maybe when we can break we'll try out skills out here. Anyone concerned with getting to Lynnwood from of the surrounding areas should note to not drive between 4 and 6:30 for this is when traffic is worst and you will surely parish any route you take ESPECIALLY 405.
Just a tip *shrug*
Anyone in the 98008 area?
