The new swap does not seem to interupt channeling.
I tried to stop someoen porting and they swapped and then still ported.
I don't really think Venge needed a nerf, maybe this is unintended but I think the functionality of swap was pretty good. I know she has a stun, but regardless, I like that you could blow a swap to stop a channel spell, or save an ally from a channel as well.

I don't think it should. Really interesting thing that happened for me is that I swapped someone who was grabbed by electrician at the same time. Electrician changed course, the grab didn't stop. Only thing that might break a channel is range.

Id say leave it how it is, because then you can use it supportively too (ie, to enchance tempists crappy as cast range on his channeling ulti. It has far more use like that suuportively than to counter-offensively imo

it should break channeling.

OffTopic, sort of:
I was able to buy a Portal Key for Andromeda.
If I remember correctly Vengeful Spirit isn't allowed to have one in DotA. (Probably to prevent players blinking to some silly terrain, and then swap an enemy hero there.)
Same thing with Pudge/Devourer.
Should Andromeda be able to use Portal Key?

Yes, since you can walk out of those stuck positions unlike in dota.

It should break channeling -.-
it should break channeling if the range is increased past what is needed to channel
i also wanted a ministun at first....
but regarding the low heropool she has an enormus roamingpotential by now
give her a stun at ulti and there will a lot of crytherats about imbalance

I don't think it should break channeling. If it does, then it's a two-purpose spell. This way, it just swaps two heroes exactly as they are. It makes you not swap a Magmus right into you while channeling. Channeling is hard enough to pull off in this game sometimes.

Its logic really, if someone is swapped out of location it moves, moving breaks channeling

Zephyr's leap doesn't interrupt channelings. Bug or working as intended?

Other interesting things I've noticed about Andromeda's Swap:
It acts like a blink, but doesn't actually give the functional benefits of blink.
For example we'll take Magebane. If scout aim shots Magebane, he has a time window from when the crossbow bolt leaves the scout to when it arrives to blink. If he does, the bolt "hits" where he was and does no damage or snare.
Now to contrast, if your teammate is being aim shot, and you swap him out while the projectile is in mid air, it still hits him. Same for normal projectiles from autoattacks from ranged units. You can blink and they won't hit you, but if you swap someone they will still 'track' them.
I thought I had saved my Voodoo Jester friend last night from a long chase by Valk. She got him down to 10 hp and I swapped him as her last autoattack arrow was flying at him. He swapped and the arrow continued to follow him even after the swap.
Fix it if it's a bug, as it seems counter-intuitive to what the spell does.

I think the pseudo-blink effect is the same in DotA. Just the channel interrupt isn't

Void Rip tooltip reads, "pauses time and space".
It should have a stun.

It interrupts channeling spells in Dota (Ex: Voodoo Jester's Ultimate, Magnus's Ult). As such I hope this is fixed. Andromeda is a powerful hero, this small change creates a lot of utility and adds a little more skill to the hero for the user to be able to have another use for a swap.

imo it should break channeling, pretty much anything affecting the hero should cancel channel :D

seriously why should it break channeling .. its switching positions .. there is no stun effect .. channel should continue .. technically the caster does not move .. i know that's how it was in dota but it can be used in some sick combos if you swap your teammates

looking at this logically.
lets say you are magmus, channeling your ulti. then you get swapped into nowhere by andromeda. are you logically gonna keep channeling? no, you would look around and be like WTF????
from a balance perspective, at the moment andro isnt a bad hero, but isnt a particularly amazing one either. it would probably be a small but welcome buff.

even if your hero cant physically see what hes channeling on in the first place?
in dota, swapping either the channeler or the channelee (incase of rhasta/bane) would break the channel, which LOGICALLY makes sense.
i think it should work like this.

how do you define logically? an instant magical alteration of one's position is logical? if you we're doing jumping jacks and i came over, lifted you up and moved you 5 foot to the right .. i'm sure that will cause you to stop. but imagine an instant magical teleportation relocation in a blink of an eye .. you'd still be in the motion of doing your jumping jacks and the only thing that would cause you to stop .. is yourself
also swapping heroes like perhaps rhasta/bane would make sense .. dued to the fact that we might lose sigh of the target and become out of range. u can say that for witch doctor as well since his ward wouldn't swap with him. but other cases like cm, or enigma it should be carried along with them.

I liked it without breaking channeling. You could go and just swap a Magmus when hes in the middle of your team channeling. Or the Soulstealer. For stopping the rest of the occassion is your stun. You have it for something, if you used it just for nuking another character, it's on you, not in the ultimate...
