If you use up all your charges against a jereziah is it better to skip wingbow and build a second nullfire? seems viable both ways, what do you think?

Its much better if some one else one your team grabs one since mana burn does not stack. Once you use up all the charges you should upgrade it into a geometers bane.

just get bane instead and rape the guy with repel on

riftshard is nice steal before wingbow. NH dmg becomes spiky making it unpredictable for the enemy to anticpate. when your enemy realises that your dmg is constistent they can work out their survival rate vs yours but when you pop 600crit into their backit's too late for them to bail last minute XD...

backstab is bonus damage and unaffected by crit making it a poor choice, so i guess the debate is, is it better to get geometers or nullfire

This, better off waiting for it to be updated.

It'd be nice to have a way to keep purchasing new charges as well.

have you trialed this out? unless i mathematically watch the dmg.. my normal back stabs hit for 225+ and go up to 360+ with riftshard. The numbers are not accurate. Just log onto HoN and trial it out now.

please explain mr.cloth

Thats because its ur normal attack damage thats critting

Say i have 1.5x crit multiplyer

100 base damage

200 agil

backstab=300 damage
crit backstab=350 damage

In dota ( i assume its the same in hon) The backstab damage occurs right after your normal attack damage. This is why no decent nighthound guide talks about crit or lifesteal.

have you tried it out?

my base damage was 199-213 and my normal backstabs is 403 . Last night I managed to get 806 back stab hit .

I don't see why you would get life steal :)

Iv seen a BS crit for 1k, i think you are mistaken unless the guy had double damage but i think backstab (all of the damage not just auto attack) can crit

BS? Mr cloth ws talking about NH's backstab, not BS's blood craze (or w/e it's called) which adds direct damage which ofc can crit. Also saying that any damage can crit would mean MKB's mini-stun (dunno what the name of HoN's version is) could crit which ofc doesn't happen for melee heroes (ranged heroes get added direct damage when mini-stun happens).

in HON, as far as i know (and i might be wrong), backstab damage is added onto the attack damage for the hit. he makes one hit, unlike riki did in dota. same with blinkstrike damage. in dota its seperate, here its added to NH's damage

so as far as riftshard goes, it depends which is coded to go off first, rift or backstab. if its backstab/blink, it will crit the total damage. it its crit, it will crit and then add the backstab/blink damage

obviously someone can't tell that BS here is a abbreviation of back stab, not the dota name for blood hunter.

seriously please loose the dota references because funnily enough it will make you look stupid like we see above.

he's a newbie at reading a topic and applying common sense?

it doesn't take a genious to figure out that its more likely BS will be Back Stab as opposed to a dota hereo if they simply read 2 posts in this topic.
