So i am very interested in tundra. I have played him once and i think he is fun, but i have no idea how to micro his minions. And puzzlebox is great on him which requires even more micro. I honestly dont know if i should be highlighting all of the minions once spawned, or how to deselect (efficiently) them to follow people, or how to micro at all. some help would be good becasue i really want to get good at tundra and using puzzlebox.

1. Spawn your puzzlebox minions and press W
2. Press E and click on target
3. Highlight all your creeps and right click target
4. ???
5. Profit!

you dont need much micro.. all you need to do is make everything attack your target once you've used cold shoulder

I personally like

Call shiver/courel > Freeze > Charge > summon box > select all > right click> manaburn

Rinse and repeat.

I know, this sounds stupid, but I recommend you to play some Starcraft. Preferable Protoss, since they need the micro you need.

You can't learn micro on the spot, it is all about experience. Take your time with it and don't get frustrated, mastering it is impossible to do without hours and days of practice

Make sure you group your minions to a number, like 2. Once you assign them to a group, everytime you click that number you'll target them even if they die and spawn again. Same applies to your bird/pet.

The grouping system also recognizes which one you had highlighted, so make sure you highlight the one with the mana burn when you group them to avoid tabbing through units every time.

And can i do it with other keybinds than numbers? becasue i use 1-5 and shift 1 for my inventory.

Go to options and uh, I think it's controls. Then there'll be, in the right column, something that says recall selection # and save selection # etc. Change them to whatever you want. Default is ctrl+1-9 for save selection and 1-9 for recall. But I suggest you use add to selection # instead of save, cause it'll make your balphagore play easier.
Remembering the how to delete is good too, if you've saved yourself to the wrong group or something.

And yes, you can assign it to other things than numbers, I use F2.

When i play pbox Tundra i prefer to set Tundra to no 1, slow-cat 2, birdy 4 and pbox minions on 3 - so i have control of every unit the whole time.
If you practice a bit with ctrl-grps you should get it pretty fast, or maybe you aren't fit to play micro intense heroes

what is the difference between add to selection # instead of save selection #?
Example:
Tundra is currently in select 1

You use select shiver and use save to selection, now shiver is in select group 1 and tundra is not.

If you used add to selection while selecting only shiver both would now be in group 1.

Off topic:
Don't say WoW in these forums, that game is full of lil kids raging and pedophiles.

just because you play a hunter in WoW doesnt mean you have good micro skills.

Because I could just say I play a warlock but then lack micro because i have dispell/silence on autocast which is a huge difference to a warlock who manually dispells/silence.

also your pet auto aggroes to whoever u target so there is absolutely no multi-unit microing in WoW.

For tundra, set 1 to tundra, set 2 to Slow pet (optional is to get all pbox minions to 2 with slow pet, but this will feel clunky most of the time), set 3 to pbox minions (when pressing 3, always make sure the caster is 1st so that you can get off mana burn faster), and set 4 to bird (which is prolly the pet you constantly want to have up and moving to gain large map awareness). All this with Ctrl <number> groups.

I usually get thundra and kitty on 1, since its added dmg and slow, and move them around together.

The owlee goes to 2 since he isnt much use in lane.

Later i group both kitteh and owlee with tundra and pminions on 2, the bird goes over obsticles and stuff so he is generally in front of me most of the time.
Optionally i use 3 on owlee if i need alot of map awarness or just want him to ward a spot.

But the best thing to do is to make your self micro so you get better at it, a split second decision can net you alot on tundra and he isnt that micro intensive him self,
you just faceroll "qwer" and hit stuff so he is basically like a creep him self.

A good thing to do when playing tundra is to realize that most of his power comes from other units and that when playing with him play like its a rts, unlike all other heroes in hon.

Bind minions to F2
Bind puzzlebox minions to F3, with the mage highlighted for the manaburn.
F1 = hero
F2 = Hero minions
F3 = puzzlebox minions
F4 = select all

Works for me.

I find it's best to use 1 = hero
2 = all pets except for shiver
3 = shiver

because I use the bird for scouting and all the pets are used for damage.

thanks guys, my setup is really different from your guys's suggestions tho. since i use 1 2 3 4 5 shift 1 for my bag items, i use ctrl group with shift + 2 3 4 5 t f, but it seems to be working out well.

also your pet auto aggroes to whoever u target so there is absolutely no multi-unit microing in WoW. Pet on passive makes it not auto agro to anything, and i do micro him to stop drinks, be LOS of me or my partners for sacs/freedoms, web people behind LOS, plus keeping track of stings, MS, my multiple cd's, and the fact that hunters are always on their gcd should provide a good example that i know how to micro :)
