View Full Version : CyberGamer HoN Ladder (October 17, 2010 - January 30, 2011)

The new Heroes of Newerth administration team brings you the new $1250 S2Games HoN Ladder. We are proud to partner up with S2 in an effort to get the Oceanic and Australasian HoN community's active again. All active teams will have a good chance of winning a prize as well as the obvious top 3 slots.

I strongly encourage all teams to join up and enjoy the fun and excitement. The Tournament is open to any teams provided they have 2 Australian/New Zealand players. It is FREE to enter and will run for 8 weeks and there will be a short break over the Christmas and New Year's period. Two different finals series will then start and run for about 4 weeks. There will be a finals series for the mid-tier teams and prizes will be up for grabs here too.

Registrations will open on Wednesday the 13th of October, with the ladder going live on Sunday 17th of October.

out of curiousity, how did your first event end... I remember it taking a long time near the end of it and I personally just stopped following it, who ended up winning?

Do Hawaiians qualify for this event?

Hawaii = Polynesia = Oceania

Don't leave Polynesians out =(

Hey breaky, to answer your question... CyberGamer has run many HoN ladders in the past and this will be our 4th. I think you are thinking of the S2Games Tournament that was international and I am fairly sure Loaded (eg) won it (anyone correct me if I'm wrong as myself and all the other CG HoN Admins are new :P). Also do you think you could PM me on this site, cg or honcast (don't know how on that site) a way I can contact you, I'd love to have a chat with you about some of the Oceanic teams as well as this ladder.

Anyone is permitted to enter, as long as:

a) You have 2 members in your team from Australia/NZ (They can be subs or whatever, as long as there are 2)

and

b) You're aware that all matches are based on Australian preferences, so Aus/NZ teams will always have priority when it comes to servers & match times.

The Ladder is about to go live, teams are remminded to get their whole team registered before they can move up the ladder.

Also REGISTRATIONS will remain OPEN for some time while the ladder starts so please get in there and get some of the prize money on offer.

This ladder is moving into finals now and show a great deal of skill of the Oceania region with many teams getting better as the season went on. Now the top 8 teams will battle it out for a piece of the prize money.

The Finals!

It will start on the 9th of January.

Games are Best of Three.

Games will start at 7:30pm CG Time (Sydney Time)

Teams should all meet in channel CyberGamer. Regular CyberGamer Rules apply to all games.

Round 1 - January the 9th 2011
Round 2 - January the 16th 2011
Round 3 - January the 23rd 2011
Final Round - January the 30th 2011

It's there because the ladder has run for 9 weeks, and it gives more advantage to the teams higher up on the ladder.

It makes sense if you think about it.
