Gameclucks has hosted a few HoN Sundays in the past and, due to the last turnout in numbers, Gameclucks will now be hosting a TOURNAMENT for CASH CASH CASH!!!!!!

You do not have to bring your own PC to the LAN.
This is a tournament setting, so people will have to get up from their PC's to allow others to play their games.

Make sure not to miss out. !

After A fun day at the Oct 10 Hon Sunday I gotta say it is a Great environment and very friendly staff/fellow Hon players. Very diverse player base which was expectedly way more fun then standard pub/rage/flame/dodge online play.

Man I just cant get any luck with these dates. Yesterdays tourny happened to be on thanksgiving (canadian), and now the next one I will be heading to seattle to watch the seahawks giants game. DAMN YOU!!!

I figure even if they don't play AT the tournament, people can meet other people who have similar interests. Maybe those people can start up new friendships and thus make a strong, local community who can respect each other and could possibly start playing together in groups. Then those people can enjoy playing the game and worry less about how their teammates will react to things such as a misplay or constructive criticism (always handled better by someone who knows you).

Like I said, communities are good.

We can form teams at the door. We need these events to keep growing to get a real scene in the Seattle area.

For those who know me, I am pretty committed to the gaming scene and tournaments.

I run Smash, Halo, CoD, SSF4, DotA/HoN events when ever possible (with the first 3 bring monthly for a long arse time...and really DotA/HoN Sunday off and on for two years...so all four).

I am working on larger tournament ideas also that will go up and down the West Coast. Give me a reason to make HoN part of that!!! GET TO THIS EVENT!!!

I am double checking if i will be in Hawaii through the 8th or not.

If I am not, I'll be sure to come down and see if I can't find a PuG or whatnot. Even then, I am also looking for a team/players for joining CEVO as well. Currently 1721 psr, but please note I got to 1700 purely solo'ing in pubs. Put me into a scrim with other skilled players who have communication and a goal, and I guarantee you will I will meet or exceed your expectations.

Only reason I am mentioning this is because you all live less than 20 minutes from me.

About a week to go....

I need at least 1 whole team to BYOC.
We will have 15 great PCs for the event, but we need 1 or 2 teams to bring their own to make sure this goes faster!
(as a business we have to keep 5 of our comps in reserve for later in the day)
So if we could get 1 team for sure, and prefer 2 to bring own comps, that would help a TON!
We have the room for BYOC in the back of the place.

Because its a tournament setting, you don't have to bring your computer to the lan (i'll update the main thread)

They provide keyboards headset etc etc, but I still like to bring my own keyboard, mice, headset, and my Tralfamadore-signed mousepad.

We need 1 team to BYOC.

Here is the situation... we have 20 PCs all SOLID comps.

BUT we need 5 of those for regular clients that day starting at about 3pmish... so we really only have 15 that can be used.
Instead of running one game at a time, we want to be able to do 2 as much as possible.

Since we expect 6-8 teams... if 1 or 2 teams can bring all their own stuff, that helps us a ton in making this happen with as few delays as possible.

The economics of the situation are such that a "Day Pass" is $15, of which we usually get all of that income.

HoN Event is $15, of which we payout about 2/3 of that. So to make a day "even" out to a normal Saturday in business, we would, in theory, need 50-60 HoN people to show up for the tournament to justify using all of our comps and turning regular business away.

So if 1 or 2 teams brought all of their own stuff, that would let us play 3 games at once for the first round and then allow us to pull 5 of our PCs out of the mix and run the balance of the event with 2 games at a time (depending on bracket a little and how games go).

Just being as honest on this as possible.

I will check with my partner and explain that this is going to be a little bigger then we expect, so maybe we should consider just closing and offering a discount to people to come on Sunday or something when we turn them away on Saturday.

So we have a team that has a guy that is coming late. They have a 6th that can play until the other guy gets there.

If all 6 people pay the $15, is that OK with everyone?
Is that "normal" for HoN/DotA event to allow that?

Unfortunately since it looks like a second person is having issues with being able to go tomorrow and since I got offered OT at work (hard to refuse extra $$), my friends and I decided we won't be making it to this one.

Hopefully the turnout is still big and you will continue to do this because we do want to go, starting with next month's event (if there is one).

Heres my situation

I live in Olympia, its about a two hour drive. and i drive a ford explorer so gas is EXPENSIVE. If there is a team who is looking for 1 more, and we have a good chance to win it, ill show up.

We did a Round Robin, 2 Games, Winner Take All Event.
