This is probably obvious to most of you but why does every team pause in the beginning of every pro game?

cause the game sucks and there is definitely more than a 1/10 chance someone's **** is ****ed

And they pause to make sure everyone knows what lane to go in, what items people will built, or if someone has to take a ****.

it usually has nothing to do with strategy. someone is usually lagging or something.

Many players either spike super hard or have insane fps drops at the start of the game so a pause is mandatory for those 2 issues to clear up

most people like to ***** about lag, "my hon is messed up" etc. and restart hon mostly just as a placebo effect but some people actually have shitty comps and it helps them out or something

it doesn't affect me so i don't have much say but i think it's pretty unprofessional, especially when the reason is for something like smoking weed. it's not that hard to get your **** sorted out before a game starts where people will be watching you from a stream or a VOD.

people like you bring the weird rumors into the world.
Most of the time pauses in the beginning of the game are due to bugs. Most of those bugs are hon related, some are hardware related.
Then you got the "does everyone know where they go, and who buys what" pauses.
After that comes the "A guy is still taking a smoke before the game pause". A smoke being nicotine, not the crack you think professional games are using.
