just curious, for HoN, if u do Keeper's ult (AOE root thing), resto stone, then ult again, for max damage, do you have to wait for the 1st ult to end before you resto and do 2nd ult? or can u just do immediately after the other, and the damage is cumulative?
i tried resto keeper yesterday, and although it seemed like the damage was cumulative when i spammed the ults after each other, i wasn't sure. i just wanted to get the ults off before i got hit by spells and stuns lol.

the whole point is so that they are held there longer....

Or use your two ults for maximum immobilization so your team can kill them all? Keeper's ult doesn't really do that much damage to make it worth doing twice right in a row.

i know, but when i have like 3 casters rooted next to me, they unload everything on me while i'm waiting for my 1st ult to end.... basically, i'm wondering if i can unload both ults right away for max dmg, then get the heck out.

Are you ramboing the enemy? Because once you've rooted the rest of your team should be in there taking hits too, unless you've actually managed to situate yourself within every opponents cast range and left yourself out in the open so you're easy to target.

im not asking about when it is appropriate to cast ults, i'm asking if the damage stacks -_- i'll try it out later sometime when i can.

That's probably the worst AoE damage you could deal and waste three cooldowns with.

Just cast camouflage after the first one if they are bursting you down and wait until you need to cast it again.

Mock of Brillance: ~5200gp for 40dps without any CD and manacost
Stone of Restoration: ~5300gp for a 5sec 85dps-ulti every 210 seconds consuming your full mana completely
Casting invis when they start to nuke: priceless

As much as you guys want to be LOZAWESOME, the main question remains. I would never use the ult as he intends to, but none the less his question is a valid one and should be answered. This is a MECHANICS question, not a I WIN I AM SO AWESOME question.

I can't believe it took this many posts to not respond to a single, simple, and legitimate question.
The answer is no. The damage from his Ultimate will only deal damage for the amount of time during which a hero is caught. If you cast the first Ultimate and use a Restoration Stone and proceed to cast a second one before the entire duration of the first Ultimate is over, you will only renew the duration of the spell, you will not stack any of the duration remaining from the first Ultimate; in other words the remaining amount of time until the first Ultimate expires at the time that you cast the second Ultimate is wasted. It will neither count towards additional time disabled nor damage.

Correct. From the strategy perspective, just wait until the first one ends to cast your second Root. I didn't see this thread for some reason lol, thanks for answering Stergeary
