So what would happen if you gave a nighthound or scout (both units with perma stealth) a Mock of Brilliance, which deals 40 magical dps to all nearby units? Would the Mock activate while stealthed? If yes, what would you do if you noticed that a stealthy with MoB was near you? Would you run, shoot spells everywhere, or just tank it out?
P.S I know that Mock of Brilliance might not be the best item for scout/nighthound, but I was just wondering
All opinions welcome.

Yes it works whilst invisible.

It was a common item for Rooftrellen (Keeper of the Forest) in pubs in Dota, back before Dust anyhow :)

So wouldn't that be a ridiculous harassing item for invisible heroes? I mean, he's constantly dealing damage to you, and yet you cant do a thing without wards/dust/eyes

I get it. Can't afford:

180 for dust?
200 gold for wards?

It gives away your invis, only working for pubs atm, when they can't ward.

yeah, but then you gotta keep some on you at ALL times, and 1 inventory slot is worth a lot.

No you will have to keep it on you for 5-10 minutes till you ganked him enough for him to give up that tactic. TBH id only be happy if an opponent nighthound tried to save up for a mock instead of something more useful like a nullfire

ridiculus argument, when you see the aoe, just use dust and kill him. The soul purpose of invisibility is that you always should have the opening blow and if you need you use it to run away, by adding the damage aoe you give away your position and is very vurnable to dust / wards

Question answered, Mock of Brilliance works while you're invisible.
