Hi guys, Luke here

I'm sick and tired of there being a lack of community amongst us AU/NZ'ers. To remedy this, I'm starting a new IH league. We will meet twice a week on set days and times to play high level BP/BD games that will be casted on high-quality streams.

Please note that this league will be vouch-based. Those that know me know how strict I am; everyone must be able to hold their own, unlike some of the pub trashcans we used to get in KIWI IH's. Only those who are invited into the league will be able to play, however anyone can be invited to the league at any time as long as they get past a stats competency screening.

The when's and the where's are still yet to be determined. This thread is for me to gauge interest and also to compile a list of active mid-high tier oceanic clans and their rosters.

Those interested in shoutcasting casually: this is your time to shine! As these casts will be completely independent and amateur, we will have hilarious **** happening, and bishes will be 'mirin.

To top things off, there is an invitational tournament event in it's early stages. As someone who has dealt with months of delays in tournaments they've participated in, I feel I can safely say that I know what the people want when it comes to competition. This **** will be cash.

Hey guys, just updating the post with the direction I'm steering this **** in.

-As for now, IH's will be played on Sunday evenings. I will host on an AU server. This doesn't mean there will not be other IH nights during the week, but I'm starting off small to gauge interest levels.

-Vouching System: Alot of people are asking about how vouching works. It's pretty simple; OIHL isn't a democracy, it's an elitist dictatorship. I will accept/reject players ONLY based on whether or not I think they will hold their own in the games.

-On game day, if more than 10 rostered players are keen, I will give slots to those who I believe will give the highest quality game for the spectators and VoD audience. This doesn't mean the same 10 people will be playing every week - I'll rotate people out if this starts happening.

-I'm in the process of sorting out a website for this. It will have the following functions:


Small forum board
Player & team community rankings
Embedded VoDs
Information about the league and the whens/wheres of the ih's

I have not heard any feedback from the community about are casts being bad and have heard nothing from you either. As the HoN admin for Gamestah I am more than willing to try my hardest to produce what the community wants. I do know that we need to do more video streams which is currently being implemented.

If you do have negative feelings I would rather you let us know so we can try and fix it rather than posting your personal feelings for others to read. I for one know Bang would like me to tell him if people disapproved of something to do with SUREFIRE he would rather me let him know so he could rectify it.

I didn't notify you of my personal feelings because I don't know you and don't care enough about your casts to justify sending an email. A while back I tried to watch one of gameSTAH's casts but turned it off straight away because the picture quality was so terrible.

Now, given that you're so obviously butthurt, I thought, maybe I'm being harsh... so I went on gstah and searched for HoN casts.. there were 3 total.. I thought 'wow that's wierd'... I clicked on one, and not only was the picture quality so bad that I couldn't see text, but I didn't find that you or your co-caster shed any insight whatsoever and I ended up listening to over 9000 minutes of you regurgitating what was happening on screen.

AUS/NZ has alot of talent but at the moment its fragmented. Any movement to centralize it into a league can only be a good thing, especially with the new (un)availability of AU servers. Kudos.

I think for this to prosper an independent forum would probably be needed.

Not taking sides here, and nGR and Gamestah have little love for each other but in Tommygun's defense good quality video streams are pretty difficult to obtain for technical reasons. It's the reason nGR didn't end up casting the CGNA tournament, we couldn't get a decent quality stream happening. To prevent the stream from lagging out and dropping every 30 seconds or so (bouncing a stream from Aus, to a US host, then back again causes issues when compounded by shitty Aus internets) we had to set the video quality so low it was horrendously pixilated to the point where it wasn't worth streaming.

I'm on an ADSL2 plan which runs at this:

And was unable to get a decent quality stream. Easiest way to fix this would be obtaining a closer host for the stream.

It works something like that, it certainly isn't clan vs clan - there will be no locks.

Alot of people have been asking what the vouching process is like. Me and a couple mates are deciding who is/isn't good enough... I'm not affiliated with any companies or whatever, so I don't give sh*t if that's too vague for you guys :P

That was a one time thing probably due to the stormy weather last night. As the game prior to that with wytaliba was fine.

If it keeps happening over the next few days I'll have to hold off till I get it sorted. Strangely enough after that game it stopped disconnecting.
