Item: Brigby's Big Pinning Stick
Icon: A sharp pronged lance with blades sticking out of all sides

Stats: +12 damage, +12 to all stats

Ability: Impaler's Touch (ACTIVATED) When used, the stick will magically activate and fly towards your target, impaling it and any targets behind it. 30 second cooldown and 150/175/200 mana cost.

What this does is that it creates an effect on target enemy unit called Stuck like a Pig. The debuff starts at 30, and goes up by 1 each time the unit takes an action (attacking, clicking, moving etc). He'll take damage equal to the amount of counters on the debuff every two seconds. The debuff goes away after 14 seconds. Counter limit is at 100. Does not stack.

Additionally, the item can be upgraded by buying a punch dagger and the recipe again. Each upgrade adds an additional +9 to damage and +1 to all stats, and can be upgraded a maximum of three times. Each upgrade will also increase the amount of counters gained per action by 1 and increase the counter limit by 20.

Total Cost: 2700

Recipe (745)

My goal:

I always see people grab one of those three items as part of their basic equipment, but the item becomes obsolete later in the game when you run out of space. I wanted to make an item that would allow you to upgrade your basic stat increasers and give you a decent proc to go along with it.

The point of the proc is to, well, harass. For those that perform a lot of actions, be it moving, attacking or what have you would end up taking a decent amount of damage from an upgraded version of this item. In order to reach the max amount of damage you would have to perform a lot of actions, but it still could be reached every so often.

Continued movement does not trigger the ability, but shifting direction and going from stop -> move -> stop counts as triggering. Ideally this item would be used early game as a way of harassing people who hang back and try to deny and/or have a high attack speed, and in the late game it would be used as a good damage/stat booster when upgraded with a decent proc.

Blessed Orb is weaker than your item and more expensive, but I like the fact your thinking of something to do with those items

Yeah, that's a good point. I think making the recipe cost more (~545 gold) would make the item a bit more on par.

And yeah, I always found it odd that these were items that everyone grabbed early game, yet they just get thrown away as space becomes sparse.
