View Full Version : Pharaoh interrupts hold?

So, what happens when Pharaoh casts his Q skill and then he's grabbed by electrician, or devourer, or pollywag/succubus over close range? Does the Hellfire stop so he can't interrupt the hold, or does it go on and release you (Assuming it hits the guy).

I'd like to know this, since it would be handy while deciding whether I should use my ultimate on a Devourer or Electrician :D

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure Hellfire is a buff, like Moon Queen's ultimate, so it's not interrupted by stuns or other forms of disable. It should be purgeable though.

it should stay on just like magmus's ult, once the channeling is done, it does not matter if u stun him

What happens is a electrician grabs a Pharo while he is in his mummies, and the electrician is outside?

He goes through the mummies and hits pharaoh, does not get pushed back.

I'm pretty sure that Mummies can't interrupt, anyway. I casted them next to a Magmus who was using his ulti, to no avail :(

I think this is correct, and I believe I read somewhere on these forums that during Electrician's grapple, his hitbox remains where he casted, so anything AoE must target his initial position, until it is stopped.

Hellfire can stop channelling spells even if Pharaoh is disabled. Even electrician, but electrician has to start his grip within range of hellfire.

yeah, hellfire interrupts stuff regardless. annoying as hell if you just wasted a 150sec cooldown with tempest

Right, I knew about this electrician bug, but I didn't put two and two together... So you can't be grappled within Mummy wall range, but if the electrician's further than that you're toast.

EDIT: vvvvvvvvvvvvv

Not exactly working as intended in that case.

Well it could be that I used the mummies way too late and he finished channeling before the knockback... But I doubt it.

Hellfire won't stun Magmus while he uses steam bath, and that sucks :( fun when you play against pharaoh though :P

Why should it? It only hit visible targets in DotA afaik, since it was based on Stormbolt. Mummy force movement should, however, interrupt channeling.

Hellfire won't stun electrician out of his grip either, since the 'hitbox' on electrician doesn't move with him, unless electrician starts using grip right next to pharoh.

The movement didn't interrupt in DotA, doubt it should (and would) in HoN.

If it's purgable that should be fixed. Steamboots go right through it...

Cogs can cancel TP channeling as well, useful when your battery assault has run out. Remember the 1-cog placement rule, the knockback will cancel the TP. This tactic is useful against Sandking (in sandstorm) and Lanaya (in meld) as well.
Cogs knockback passes through magic immunity. You can cancel TP on a baldefurying Jugg, BKBed hero and Repelled heroes as well using the method above.

Foot in mouth syndrome. Fair enough.

IT SHOULD, but it doesn't in HoN so far :/

Even Glacius while using his ulti will be pushed away without breaking the channelinh (lolz).

On second thought, I just interrupted a Thunderbringer who was channeling a homestone teleport, using my mummies. I'm 100% sure about this (Unless the Thunderbringer just happened to start moving just as he got hit by the mummies... Not likely :D).

So I'm puzzled now. Can anybody test if it works with Magmus? I'll try it again next time I get, since maybe I mistimed it last time...
