From the Take Cover tooltip -

"Can be toggled to auto-cast by right clicking. When set to auto-cast, this skill will automatically be used when Bubbles takes non-DOT damage, preventing that damage from being dealt.
The automatic use will not trigger if Bubbles becomes stunned or silenced."

Testing it randomly on abilities in practice mode, decided to try on all heroes to see if it really worked. There were a few oddities, please confirm or explain the mechanics of why it doesn't proc.

Chronos - Time Leap - Deals damage, doesn't proc take cover.
Madman - Barrel Roll - Deal damage, doesn't proc take cover.
Dark Lady - Dark Blades+Charging Strikes - Deals no damage, does not put take cover on cooldown, and silences Bubbles. Also if you do just Dark Blades, it will silence, but do no damage, and also does not put take cover on cooldown.
Zephyr - Performs knockdown and push, deals no damage?


If this is better suited for mechanics forum, providing its a mechanics thing and not a bug, then sorry! :P

I think it's awesome that people like you have this much time to find things like this, so that lazy bastards like myself can sit back and enjoy a fun game :)

Hope they fix these.

Did you test other AoE abilities like Defiler's Wave?

Most of those seem like they shouldn't happen, but I'll look into it a bit more when I can

I literally tested every ability of all heroes in practice mode. Defiler's wave does proc it, as does most other aoe\directional\cone abilities like pyro wave. These were the only ones I found that were odd.

The only one I didnt put on the list was Soulstealers ult because its just a bug in practice mode, it doesn't proc take cover, no damage taken, etc, but in an actual official game it works fine.

Fixed everything here

Zephyr's Gust doesn't stun anymore so it's fine
