For some reason when I posted this, it included a bunch of random question marks I've never included...any chance I can edit that out?

It's actually a government ploy to send five unarmed Americans into communist China to "survey" the nuclear facilities of Shanghai.

Wait, what? The tournament was supposed to be 64 teams but only 6 registered for it? Only 6 teams in North America want an all expenses paid trip to Dreamhack? Seriously, what the ****. Wake up North America. If this was held for Europe there'd be a thousand teams registered.

Shame...Disappointing...

It's the timing of it... the first day of the event is thanksgiving in the US, and you'd have to leave most likely a day or two before. Not many teams have 5 members that can say, "Hey folks, i'm leaving and skipping out on one of the biggest holidays of the year to play video games in Sweden, sorry!" and have their families be okay with it ~_~.

I think my family would be pretty excited if I got a free trip to Sweden. One missed thanksgiving isn't going to break up the family. Then again I'm Canadian so I don't understand the true thanksgiving experience.

My family comes from all over the country to our house for Thanksgiving, and we celebrate Christmas the same weekend due to cutting the costs of travel expenses mainly, so it's a pretty damn big deal ; o

You have the chance to win an all paid trip to Sweden to compete with the top of the world in one of your favourite hobbies. If your family tells you they are not okay with this, and even though it's paired with Christmas, i'd probably self-adopt to a new family which cares about your interests.

Just because it's video games, there are still a shitload of money on the line @ Dreamhack + you get to see the world and meet foreign people. Alone that experience and reward should be enough to let you skip Christmas + Thankgiving, besides. When you move out, your gonna have to skip some of these traditions anyways as your girl/wife probably wants you to attend to her Christmas/Thanksgiving with her family anways, so how you can say it's because of Thanksgiving is really something spectacular, but hey - it's your life & not mine :)

Unless your family hates you or games, I don't see why this would be a problem.

HoNCast will be doing a Replay Cast of the Finals. They had some technical difficulties with the cameraman's game.

Not really talking about just the finals. What about the semi finals and the quarter finals? No need to cover them right? At least CEVO could of done some match recaps or some forum posts about the games.

And from my understanding, the technical difficulties was that Dan did not take a obvs slot..

Bit dissapointing with the lack of teams.
But none could have done anything vs LOAD anyways. Prooooooooven again and again. And again.

Just put LOAD as winner @ Dreamhack also. No need for matches.

No teams out there has a chance to ever become number 1, LOAD has that spot, and in the US... hah... none of the teams over there, could even beat any swedish HoN teams.

Pft!

(Note: Joke - Dont let HoN die.)....
