Hi there guys, i want to introduce my newest project called Battlenger. The battlenger is a game manager & instant messenger application.

Latest proof-of-concept release: v0.0.0.1.30031 - http://code.google.com/p/battlenger/downloads/list

Briefly;

Battlenger can manage your games (check version, announcements, read stats).
Battlenger enables desktop messaging with your gamer friends.
Battlenger can be extended and new game protocols can be easily added (thanks to LibBattlenger interface).
It's open source.

I'm coding the program in c# and it's kinda modular. To be more brief;

UI <-- LibBattlenger --> GameLibs (LibHon,LibBNet2)

As you can see the core is LibBattlenger and anyone can implement a new UI (maybe a console one or a mono based) or a new game(?) protocol (steam, psn, xbox live or even msn..)

As i've progressed a lot with the project i think the time has come to announce it. I'm currently looking for contributers to project who are willing to design the UI, extend the core or implement a new protocol on it. You should be a capable C# developer and if you're willing to implement protocols you need some protocol knowledge of course :)

The ones interested on can PM and we can further discuss on.

Very interesting. I can help, I guess, I have a knowledge of protocols (taken from my production of my bot(s)) and I'm capable of programming in C#. I'm interesting in knowing why you chose the name "Battlenger", though. :P

Actually i started working on program at first with BNet2, (the battlenet2). Then i just merged the words battle & messenger to get the name :)

I'll be commiting the code to a public repo soon.

I've commited the ui, libbattlenger and libhon to project's public repo at: http://code.google.com/p/battlenger/source/browse/#svn/trunk.

Interested parties can check the source or event submit patches..

[AS] trolling as usual, though i hope some mod will clean their nonsense. For the project, we've taken a lot way, i hope also a beta (or at least an alpha soon :D)

I have cleaned up this thread.

Just a reminder that the Modifications subforums are strictly zero-tolerance for trolling.

As a proof-of-concept release (note: this is not a beta or EVEN an alpha release) i've pushed the v0.0.3878.25276 on google code page.

You can see the sources on http://code.google.com/p/battlenger and download the release from http://code.google.com/p/battlenger/downloads/list.

Note: Don't expect this yet to be a fully-functional messenger, most of the stuff is not yet implemented and so that this release is not suitable for daily-usage -- it's just for interested developers and testers. Except errors,exceptions and so on..

The good side of the release is that it's fully modular and the code now load any compatible LibBattlenger module at runtime. (ie, the libhon.dll is loaded so within these release).

I think it looks very solid, I'm a c# developer. Robust design, not your everyday of the mill 10 min-app.

Are you working with this project atm, or is it sleeping?
