The teapot bug is when you set your graphics down a bit for the heroes, the :doct: model would just be a white teapot. Put your graphics on mid if you'd like to see. On high detail the model is normal.

And good work S2 on responding fast. However you should really consider releasing things fixed and testing them completely. Even if the community is a bunch of whining babbies when they don't get their patch. They'll whine more when they get it broken.

at least you guys can play, i can't even do anything. i updated the game, it NEVER rebooted, just showed the black screen for about 4 minutes straight... i uninstalled it (successfully) and tried DL it again... then it gave me the error. and i can't delete the currupted file off of my computer for some reason????

also same as above i guess. trying to install the 1.0.8.0 patch : it downloads starts completes but when the install is starting the game just reboots and gives me the message that a new patch is available. happens over and over again. do you test the patch before you upload it ? never seems to get right the first time you release a new update.

I don't mean to be rude, but because of the two most recent patches I've lost the only time I've had to play HoN two nights in a row. I'm well aware that it's not my god-given right to have HoN available all the time, as you guys are just humans at S2. That's not what this is about.


I really hope in the future you all might not consider patching during PST prime-time if possible. (maybe 10pm isn't prime time to most on the west coast, but it's still close to it, and it's the only time on weekdays I have to play) I'm also really hoping that you will consider using very small patches to fix game-breaking balance issues, and spend a little bit more time testing changes that might have an impact on a player's ability to play the game. I still love the game, and will keep playing, but it's really disappointing to find out my favorite dota hero was ported and I can't play him yet because of issues out of my control.

Had 3 hours between finishing uni and picking up my GF at work to go out for dinner. This is one of my few times I get to play at the moment and can't because of this. It always seems to happen when I want to play randomly. Patch on monday mornings instead would be nice.

How many people is Icefrog and how many people are S2? Dota's patches are more thought through and clean for the most part, this game (HoN) still has a beta feel to it, and the patches even more so. S2 team is butchering many of the heroes of DotA and meanwhile their original ideas for heroes never seem to work out right.... :gaun::zeph::pupp::chip:
Aeon of Strife for SC2 may completely persuade the HoN community if this keeps up... sorry to say. I upgraded my beta account to retail because the website said Map editor coming soon ... soon never came.

Sometimes bugs cant be found until the patch is release. Simulations and test servers are usually small scale as most companys dont have the resources to do a full scale test because it means they will need as many testing servers as they have normal game servers. So issues won't arise until the patch hits the main network. This isn't just S2, i have seen it happen with Blizzard. Where they have to release a patch right after they just released one to fix bugs and error. Its something that happens in all software licensing, not just games. They responded fast just like Blizzard or other companys that are much larger than S2, which is impressive.
To those who are raging about the patch or bugs. QQ more, it happens and they are doing a good job.

Sorry but the latest patch to come out has a few new additions that really get under my skin
1. No more kick system...
a.) its bad enough when u have a feeder but now u cant kick them and they can do more dmg.
b.) someone goes afk and u need to kick them so u dont suffer for the 5min of him standing in the well
2. AFK players no longer get auto dc'd after a set amount of time, the get left in the damn well to be killed, while the rest of his team (gets no money bonus, doesnt get his items, and has to death with a player sitting in well and a big AFK sign over his HUD face.)
3. So now you have AFK players in game all game, no leaver percentage, no kick system, and the first really screwed up patch since the lagasaourus patch back in beta. I might as well get two accounts send one on the other team pick :warb: or :chro: and afk him the entire game. Easy PSR.
