Hey guys, to kick off the launch of the CSN's beta site we will be hosting a $800 open tournament. THIS EVENT IS COMPLETELY FREE TO SIGN UP FOR!!!
All registered teams will be able to reserve high quality performance servers for their matches, courtesy of EOREALITY for absolutely no charge. However there will be a limited number of servers every week that we can lend out so it will be on a first come first serve basis. So if your team needs a server for the week or the 2 teams can't agree upon one, please find out quickly so you can reserve one.
Registration for the CSN HoN Opening Tournament opens on Wednesday, July 21st and will remain open until Wednesday, August 4th.
How To Register for CSN: All players will need to register a personal CSN user account to participate in the event. If you do not already have one, click "Join CSN" at the top right of the webpage and fill out all necessary fields. In order to complete the registration you will have to activate your account by clicking the link sent to your personal email that you entered during the registration process. Once you click the email link you will want to IMMEDIATELY change your password to what you desire, in which you will be able to login to the website with from then on.
Team Registration: Once you are logged in the main site, move your mouse over the My Teams button in the main site banner. In the menu, select Create Team at the bottom. Enter the appropriate information about your new team including your team's join password. This is the password you need to give your teammate's to allow them to join your team.
Team Players: In order to join a roster, simply click My teams in the user profile option located on the top right of the webpage. From here you will select what game your team is competing in; a drop down box will appear and then find your team and type in the password that your team captain set.
Event Details: The tournament will begin on August 11th and run for approximately 1- 1 1/2 months looking to end before September is over.
Game Type: 5v5 Banning Pick Single Elimination
Number of Teams: 32 MAX (There is a limited number of team slots and it will be the first to sign up will have a reserved spot as long as there is a minimum of 5 Players on the team Roster)
Map: Forest of Caldavar CSN
Scout Client: It will NOT be required that all teams and players download and use the CSN Scout client in order to participate in any HoN CSN event at this time. However, we do strongly urge to download the client and use it to find scrimmages for practicing. There will be a scrim channel for every game that CSN offers, for instructions on how to install the client and use it for matches please click the following link.
Prize Packages: 1st : $500 Cash 2nd : $200 Cash 3rd: $100 Cash
*The losing teams of Round 4 will compete for 3rd place*
*The Semi-Finals and on will be played out of a best of 3 games format*

*ALL HEROES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR PLAY IN THIS TOURNAMENT*
GAME MODE: BANNING PICK
Best of 3 Single Elimination
ALL PLAYERS MUST also use the match system on CSN in order to agree upon a time to play. Simply click ?my events? once you are logged in and select the appropriate match link and from there you can either accept default time or propose a new time. Each player will only be able to propose 1 new time. It is strongly encouraged for players to contact their opponents outside of the CSN match system to agree upon a time to play. Players can simply PM their opponents on CSN and talk through them to figure out what time would be best for both players.
CSN will revert back to the agreed upon time in the match system if any disputes are to occur. Also we will be using this to schedule casting for certain matches for the communities to watch.
*A CSN Admin will PM both you and your opponent and organize a time to play.
*Please PM CSN_Jesse with your match IDs and match results after reporting them to the system for verification.

Remember to be respectful to other players and officials at all times. Sportsmanship and common courtesy must always be upheld. smack-downs are encouraged, smack talk is frowned upon.
Remember to speak English when dealing with players/officials that are unfamiliar with your native language.
Game Rules:
-Teams can choose whether or not Tournament Mode is used, an agreement must be made by both teams.
-All matches must be played by deadlines at a time agreed upon by both teams. If your team cannot field a full 5 people for the game you may use Ringers (They must be registered with the CSN) if the opposing team has no problem with it. In the case that they do not want ringers to be allowed the team must either forfeit, or attempt to reschedule a game time before the deadline.
-Entering the oppositions base without a creep wave is NOT allowed (You must enter opponents base with creep support).
-Do not block creeps with Behemoth's fissure stun at the base.
-Refrain from any sort of glitch (Out of the map, Kongor glitches, bugs)
-Do not share items for a long period of time(i.e using someone's bottle/ health potion/mana potion/ runes is allowed, giving someone your bottle is not allowed).

I'll be PMing and getting a hold of all the team captains this evening to the best of my ability to arrange game times. Also a major note about our match time system, please make sure that you play the match at the appropriate time, or at the vary least report the results of the match after the set time. If you enter the results before the set time our system will mark you as a forfeit loss and I don't think anyone wants that. Just get in contact with your opponent through other means, agree on a time and change it to that time, then play and report the match results.
