Hello, everyone, especially, translators and their teams.

We have designed special online system-portal to simplify the process of game translation.

It has the following functionality:
Every person (translators) can:
+ look through all files available for translation
+ search for not translated lines
+ add his version of translation to any line in any file
+ agree/not agree with other versions of translation (if more then 4 people approve version - it automatically becomes basic)
+ leave his opinion about line (on the right there is special button in each line to access miniforum for phrase)
+ look through statistics (how many lines he has translated and how many of them were approved)

Admins also can:
+ add users
+ search for not approved lines
+ approve translation of lines to become basic (only basic translation will be compiled and downloaded in 1 file in downloads section)
+ block/unblock lines (if lines is blocked - no one can add version of translation, 1 version is taken as basic)
+ export full translation
+ export translation with names in English (e.g. hero names, items names, etc)
+ add new files for translation
Note: if files with the same name is uploaded it will be compared with existing one and only new (or changed) lines will be added.
Uploaded files are processed to dig out only clear text without technical text. But you can still view a tool tip with it if you need by putting you mouse over lines in table "Source"
+ add news (every time user logs into system again he will see information about unread news)

i will propose that for ro translation to use it. it makes it easier for teams to translate.

Romanian team is currently using this tool (http://t.heroesofnewerth.ru (http://t.heroesofnewerth.ru/)) to translate the strings from HoN. We are trying to see if it fits our needs, and so far i personally have no complaints.

I do have to remind that the normal user, in this moment, can not export the files he translated, to test them in game.
I mean, i translate one/many string(s) and i want to see how they appear in game. If they overlap or if the translated string fits in the context.

Another aspect is that if i what to see lines that are not translated the field "Translation" must be empty. Maybe you can change there to include here also field that match "Source".

I mean , i have for example:
Source - Translation
Damage - Damage.

But in field Translation characters were not actually translated.
When the translation was started, the English file was taken with all of his strings, and while translating we deleted in column translation and putted there the new translated strings (ro).

When the import to ro.t.heroesofnewerth.ru was done, the translation column contained strings not translated from English.
Doing this, all fields have a value (not blank) but is in English, so the string do not appear in "Not Translated Lines".

Could you also look at the possibility for normal user to leave comments on "Information pages:"?

Another question is how do we update the strings on the server to match the ones on new version 0.1.41.

We already verified most of the translate strings on version 0.1.40, but if we upload new files 0.1.41, we will loose all validations made previous ?

Is there a method to update also keeping the validations and translations? (which are valuable for filtering)

Any suggestions?

We will add option "export" to usual users. Also will add usability to "information pages". As for other issue - I will have a look in it tomorrow as I will be back in town. Sry for the delay.

If you would upload 0.1.41 you will not loose anything. The system will add only new or changed strings. Use http://ro.t.heroesofnewerth.ru/index.php?action=addbook - update source. Also good idea will be to backup (export) all files to save them before doing the import.
