View Full Version : Blacksmith with Ult staff broken?

I played today, and after finishing my ult staff, pretty much every single fire blast multicast against the enemy until the game ended. 2 games later I was on a team with another blacksmith, and he had the same thing happen at the end of the game. What gives? Its totally ridiculous, with blacksmith just ending games...
Maybe it was just a crazy string of luck, but it really seems broken.

ive noticed this also when other players using him and getting the 5x multi pretty much every hit, mind you when i go him and get staff of master I would be lucky to get a 5x multi 1 in every 8 casts.
So maybe it was just crazy luck.
But yeah he can also 1 hit kill characters from full health which seems a bit excessive.

This stun is actually weaker in HoN then dota beacuse it hits all at the same time, instead of combo-stunning you like it does in DotA.
On the other hand, the RNG generater in WC3 is notoriously bad. If it is vastly improved in HoN we are going to see some very strange behaviour with skills that rely on random chance.
You'll need to do some serious long play testing (get a devourer with a headress and 5khp) and just chain cast on him and see what the %age ends up after 100 or so casts is really the only way to actually test this.
Sadly because of rng you can get a cast combo streak and it be legitmate, just like you can see non for half a game :(
Rng is evil.

I actually reported this as a bug on the bug reporting section of the site.
8/10 times that it was cast it was a 5x multicast with staff of the master.
Though some serious testing will need to be done obviously.
Rippsy: S2 can just go into debug mode and give a hero 20,000,000,000hp and set the cooldown to 0.1 seconds.... a lot easier than spending 3 hours casting it 100 times ourself.

Simple, while I apprecaite debug mode would be simpler; actual ingame evidence is usually prefered. If they ask for it obvs :P if not then awesome :)
If you saw some of the play testing thats happened in dota.. christ :) players pumping pudge upto 10k hp then testing bash procs etc.. its insane :)

Its insane luck, i got staff of the master on one match and only had 1 frikkin 5x multicast for the whole rest of the game "30mins or so" damn bad luck.
