View Full Version : User Disconnect should alter PSR gain/loss balance

When someone disconnects from a game and they do not return, hence their hero is removed from the game, the balance of psr gain and loss from the outcome of the game should change. most of the time this loss guarantees the other team to victory, and they gain all the points of a fair game when the game is definitively skewered against the team losing players. also the team that can pull back and win an uneven game should be rewarded with more points in PSR for such an uphill battle.

Agree , but psr should be recounted only upon termination of the disconnected player (5mins of dc time)

No.
Most of the time someone dcs because they think they can't win the game from that point. It could be because they gave first blood....or it could be becasue they are down 10-1 (or worse) in kills or levels. Sure, it does make it harder for the remaining 4, but there is no fair way to fix this for all situations.
They ONLY time I would support this is the occasion where someone drops without EVER leaving the pool. In that case they haven't impacted the game and it was a true 4v5.

For the most part this is taken care of with the "Leaver" mechanic. If someone continuously leaves games because they feel they can't win or whatever, they'll not be able to play most games. Additionally, sometimes people simply disconnect due to network/computer issues, in which case it's not their fault and they shouldn't be penalized doubly. I think that's the intention of the devs any way.

Not exactly ... I purposely disconnect from a game to reset my internet connection. It's the only way to fix this massive spikes that I get (as I live in Kuwait).
To the op: It shouldn't change. Just because someone disconnects doesn't mean they should actually get MORE points (or whatever) when playing a game. It's all based on team-hero-build & skill level. It has nothing to do with the quantity of the players on either side of the team (unless of course it's like 2v5 or 3v5)

Once again. Once game hits retail, leavers will be DRASTICALLY reduced in "no leaver" games simply because they either need to get their percentile down to 9% or spend 30$ for a new account.
