AUS HoN Mini LEAGUE

I am trying to get AUSSI CLANs involved together in HoN and have same Clan battles and start a minor league to get some practice at competitive game play

IF your not in a clan post your name and we will try to get new clans setup.

Format:
- 5 players each side
- No same heroes

Draft - With no Captains mode built into the game the draft is to be done in chat before the match starts, and the Match mode is AP.

Each team can ban 1 hero. Will then go picks: 1/2/2/2/2/1

Times can decide between themselves who goes first, if not an admin will toss a coin for them.

Item Limits:

-Max 2 Astrolabe per team
-Max 1 Puzzle Box per team
-Max 1 Totem o f Kuldra
-Max 2 Ring of sorcery

GENERAL RULES
1) Must mutually arrange time with your randomly selected opponent, games can take place after the scheduled day if both team agree if not it must be played that day - no exceptions.
2) anyone purposely abusing the beta status will be disqualified (screenshot required ie: trapping enemies where they are permantely stuck, like with krakens ult, or anything similarly unsportsman like)
3) destroyed throne/tree must be screenshotted with scores bar open (names visible) for official win
4) No ledge glitching Kongor
5) Blocking creeps in the base with Behemoth's Fissue is not allowed


FOREFIT WINS/LOSSES
1) In the event that 2 teams cannot agree to a time. Here's how i'll decide:
a) both teams should email me saying that they couldn't agree. If I only get one email, I'll asume other team is inactive
b) if both teams emailed me, Ill set a time and the game must be played during that time if one team dosnt show up on that time screen capture it and email me and you get the win.


GAME SETUP
1) Games must be all pick, all heros. captains mode should be done in lobby, before game start
2) If two opposing teams cannot schedule a match, then the time will be the one i have given and if a team cant make it they Forefit.

Yeah shortcake its somthing i only gave a little thought to what i did was this (K+(A/2))-D and i sent what i was doing in an email. But after a bit of thought i have decided it needs to be changed to somthing that represents how each hero played in the team. so I am suggesting this formular. (((100/TK)*(K+A))-((100/TD)*(D)))
Legend
TK= team kills
TD= Team deaths
K= Kills
D=Deaths
A=Assist

Basically its the percentage of kills a hero helped in - the percent of the team deaths a hero contributed to.

Please add your thoughts i think this to be a better indication of a players performance.

System works OK, apart from the fact that assists in team battles are easy with an item like radiance and don't necessarily mean you contributed as much to the game as someone else. Not to mention a hero like Jereziah is could be MVP without getting that many kills/assists, but there's nothing you can do about that.

For the bH vs whG game these are the MVP points by that system

Also, pretty sure Lawlord from clan Pn got second MVP last week (since the total kill tally before the other team forfeited was 27 not 28, which means he got equal points to mf but their team actually won it........) Not that it makes a difference to overall standings or anything, just kinda funny that a person can go 2-4-4 and get an MVP award when their team loses.

If you look at our match against TCR I think it shows how this can be a weak system.

Kind of doesn't make sense that will get you a mvp. The MVP went to him from a product of his teams low kills, of which he helped in a lot of them.

Just offering my thoughts on MVP calc. If you believe that accurately depicts the MVP in that match then thats fine.

Hi Dude, just a quick message - I have been emailing your clan leader (since Monday) & also sent him Pm's on the message board trying to organise a time. Also considering the chat servers were down well past 8pm I do not understand how you could of whois'd any of the members.

edit: 10 minutes on, I /whois'd every single name in the signup post of the BH clan, it found none except killsteal or whatever it is, who was last online at 06:40 on 17th GMT +10.

Yup, about that: This is coming from Crashindown (ingame name) but you had recieved an email from Lothar (who is on a cruise now, hes based in NT) saying to email crash. Crash emailed you multiple times throughout the night on your provided email, no response. We were on before 8pm brisbane time (where i live) and the chat servers came up and down. When i made that edit the chat servers where up, as proved by me finding one member of yours with an entry.

We've got no problem with reschudling and, in all honestly, I may just force the other guys out of organisation, they are all new to the dota/hon thing, apart from Lothar.

I think that CrashinDown from team A0W got the highest points towards MVP because he helped with all his teams kills (1) and died only 10/48 times, totalling 79 points.

Highest in our game was SurtaX with 68.333 points (helped with 5/6 of the team's kills and died 3/20 times).

Funny...

Pretty sure we've found the flaw in the MVP system.

Also wanted to mention - that another flaw with the MVP & Side kick system is the fact teams are allowed to concede. On the flip side if you are not allowed to concede the other team can just farm hero kills for MVP points.

An example for allowing concedes to happen is - you are dominating a team in the lanes and tower pushes and they decide concede at the 15 minute mark. It is highly unlikely that the late game hero/player has seen any action in battles and very few kills after this 15 minute game ruling him out all together for the MVP system - but could of been free farming and collected his radiance just prior to the 15minute concede.

I do not see any advantage to the MVP/Side kick system other than corrupting the true ladder stats.
